“Great view of Cusco.”
Reviewed January 2, 2014

The ruins are amazing and view of Cusco is brilliant! It's only a short bus ride out of Cusco so definitely worthwhile.

“you see this along the way on the Inca trail”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

Hiking on the Inca trail we came across this, which is why I tell people to take the inca trail up instead of the train. This place was filled with history and you will take pictures because it's pretty amazing.

“Great Views”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

After completing the second pass early on Day 3 of the Inca Trail hike this set of ruins will come into view. It is incredible that this was built up on the side of the mountain at this location. A tour of the ruins is a must, but there is a climb of stairs off the trail to get up to it. As you progress through the valley and well past the site you will have occasions where the trail opens up and you will be able to look back across the valley and see it in the distance along with osme waterfalls. This is where a zoom lense for my camera would have been handy.

“WOW, WOW, WOW”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

The only way to get here is on an official guided trek, normally to Machu Picchu. This former Inca fort / travellers rest place is an example of what the Spanish did to Inca settlements - an eye opener when compared to Machu Picchu which wasn't discovered. The settlement commands excellent views over the valley and is a must stop on the trek. There are lots to say - but I won't spoil your experience and the guide’s stories.
