The food was pretty bad-mediocre. My kid grabbed a can of coke thinking it was part of the buffet and they charged me 4 us dollars! This is peru not japan! Cheesy band that you would find on the streets of nyc. It is totally separate from the 5 star hotel. The food in peru has been good overall but not at this rip off central meeting point.

We bit the bullet and paid the US$40 entry fee, and very glad we did. It's the perfect way to finish a special day on Macchu Pichu. Although it is a bit expensive, there is a great variety of international cuisine, all fresh and meat not too salty as it usually is in Peru, and comes with drinks.

We purchased the buffet when we purchased our tickets for Machu Picchu so we didn't pay as much as others but it still wasn't worth it in my opinion. The tables and chairs are on top of each other, the hot food wasn't hot and there was no one working the carving stations. But...when you've already paid for it and you're starving from climbing around the mountains...you eat. There aren't many options there in the mountains so plan to come down to Aguas Calientes to eat or pack in your own food for the day

Nice buffet- we were on a small group tour and this was very convenient after exiting Machu Picchu. There are two sides to a very large and generous buffet- not cheap, but considering it is just outside Machu Picchu and there are so many types of food, it is perfect for a lunch break. The meats were carved fresh, lots of Peruvian spicy foods, great breads, many desserts. Anything you could want is here- we never found the other side of the buffet, but had plenty from the side we used. Very busy and loud, but they have pictures on the wall of photos of Machu Picchu when they found it overgrown and falling down.
I would recommend eating here, because it is easier than going down the mountain, and if you want to go back again to climb more of Machu Picchu it is perfect. Very enjoyable meal.

Wonderful variety meats, fish, salads, etc. A hearty meal was needed after the rigorous climbing. Food was fresh, well presented and replenished. Large dining area crowded and a bot noisy, but still a good meal experience. Another chance to enjoy well prepared Peruvian food. The buffet was included I our tour so I can't truly rate the value/price question that a individual would pay. It was a good value for us.
