If you have seen the dig - it is a must and the history is great - at the same time you can see tours and have a great meal - we did lunch the prices and the Perievuan food was great.

Two colleagues and I enjoyed a nice meal here in April 2014. All of us enjoyed our meals. I had a fish entree, one colleague had the llama or alpaca (can't recall) and the third had a vegetarian dish. I recommend sitting outside, unless the weather is terrible. The outdoor seating is covered.

I've been to archaeological sites in Europe and yet they did not stun me like this one did. I'm not sure if it was the scale or the age, but Huaca Pucllana left quite an impression. Our guide was great. There is almost no shade, so bring a shade hat!

We were really doubtful about our meals in Lima due to its gastronomic fame so we researched a lot the places we could possibly go in our last night at the city. We decided to go to this archeological site because we wanted to see it wheter at the restaurant or as a cultural visit. We had an amazing experience at this place. They say it´s best to reserve tables because specially at weekends it can get crowded. But though we´d reserved we could have entered easily with no reservation as well. As we got there, we realized it was beautiful, just as everyone had said. It´s an open restaurant with a fantastic view of the bricks the inkas used to do. So for the site, the restaurant itself is beautiful. Now about the food: We ordered 2 Pisco Sour (traditional peruvian drink), it was amazing. Then to eat we ordered the Ceviche -that came with some corn, pumpkin squash and different peppers- and it was really good (as every other ceviches we´d tasted in Peru) and an appetizer called yuca (known in Brazil as mandioca as well, that is an tubercle) which was sliced in really thin pieces and were rolled, then fried and stuffed with cooked yuca; this was absolutely fantastic, super tasteful, crunchy and delicious. For dessert we were in doubt because everything in the menu seemed great, but we chose the "Cilindro helado de limón" that is a kind of mousse, ice cream of lemon in a form of a cilinder. It was accompanied by some sugar caramel and a reduction of "Chicha Morada" that is a sweet syrup from their purple corn. The bill was ok due to the place and the whole experience nad the service was really good. My opinion is: If you´re in Lima, go! You won´t regret it!

We went to Huaca Pucliana on our first night in Lima and were not disappointed. It is a magical location overlooking the illuminated Huaca Pucliana Pyramid. Lovely atmosphere. They offer a large menu and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered including our cocktails and wine. Service was good not great. The place was packed the night we were there and we were glad we had reservations. A highly recommended experience.
