This review is from our recent visit. I had visited the same place 3+ years ago and had very fond memories. This visit was a mixed bag and a slight disappointment. First, the place looked very different from what I remembered (and pictures from 3+ years ago had captured).
We tried the Patience (Gandhi) Ceviche which was really good. We also ordered grilled seafood platter in aji sauce and stir fried langoustines. After enjoying the ceviche, we waited almost 30 minutes before the other items showed up.. both items tasted ok but were barely lukewarm. Obviously they must have been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be picked forever... We were tempted to send them back but it was getting late and we were quite hungry.
We are not Spanish speakers though we know enough to manage simple ordering and basic questions but it always helps to have waiters who understand some English ... which is to be expected in all high end restaurants in large international cities. Out wait staff didn't understand a word !! and was completely useless in explaining or recommending anything... What also bothered us was that the person (other than who messed up our order) presenting the check, demanding a tip by pointing out on the receipt where tip should be added !!...
Not impressed. So many better options in the city.
