“kinda overrated”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

highly rated but was disappointed. Peru has AMAZING cuisine, and everything we ordered here tasted blah and unimaginative. Overpriced for such bland boring food. Wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't go back.

“Excellent value”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

I am an expat living in Santiago and there is a Tanta restaurant at Parque Arauco mall in Santiago and have enjoyed the food there.

Tanta is a chain of Peruvian food (mostly seafood) that have a footprint out of Peru, but is Peruvian owned.

while in Lima in March 2013, I went to their Miraflores location and was able to eat a delicious ceviche and a sea bass. Their food is very good, the setting is usually nice but casual, not fancy and the price tag more than reasonable.

As I said, Tanta is a chain of delicious food served in a no nonsense casual setting and atmosphere. Nothing fancy but hits the spot when looking for a great meal in a casual setting while on a business trip.

Will definitely go back on next business trip.

“Delicious Peruvian food”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We ate here on the last night of our trip and really enjoyed everything we ate. Staff were very helpful and gave us some recommendations about what to eat on their vast menu. We shared an appetizer of 'taquenas' (?) filled with chicken which were excellent, and then had the two most popular main dishes, both of which were delicious. After having traveled all over Peru this was certainly the best Peruvian-style food we had eaten. The Peruvian wine was great too. It had a nice atmosphere, and a great selection of dishes on the menu including salads and pastas. Was a lovely place to have our last meal!

“Great Peruvian food!”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

My daughter has lived in Peru for about two years, and this is one of her favorite places to eat in Lima. After having dinner there we know why! We were able to try a variety of local Peruvian foods, and they were great! The atmosphere is very casual and welcoming. It was reasonably priced as well.
