We needed a place in Lima at the very last minute, because LAN airlines canceled our morning departure from Juliaca, requiring us to change our itinerary. It didn't have special charm or character, but for one night, we found it to be just fine. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. None of the odor or mildew problems others have mentioned. Unfortunately, we were behind a tour group in the restaurant so dinner came slowly. the food was good once we got it. ( Our experience throughout Peru was that kitchens seemed small. Food was cooked to order, prepared on the premises, Be patient.) Breakfast wasn't exceptional, but good. The hotel is a short walk to the bluffs overlooking the ocean.

I had booked the Miraflores Lodge Hotel which has a higher TA ranking and had also arranged airport transfer with the hotel, even confirming by email the day before. When the arranged driver picked us up at the airport, he took us to the Miraflores Colon Hotel instead and advised us the Miraflores Lodge did not have space. The driver and reception staff at Miraflores Colon told us we would pay the same rate booked for the other hotel but that the Miraflores Colon was superior. I have no way to compare whether the lodging was equivalent, superior or inferior as we never did see the Miraflores Lodge and they have not replied to my email inquiries about the change. The Miraflores Colon was ok for 1 night however the room smelled strongly of mildew and there was black mold on the tile grout in the bathroom. The door to the hallway had a gap so sound from the hallway came in. Luckily there was not much noise in our end of the hallway. The bed was comfortable enough and the jacuzzi type tub had a shower fixture with good hot water. The room was equipped with dual voltage outlets so we were able to charge everything up. Free wifi was also included as was a breakfast buffet which was fairly average in quality and selection. Not too happy that the original hotel moved us to another with no consultation or notice, however as this was just a one night stopover, it provided us with the basics we needed.

The first night we stayed here, we had a very musty smelling old fashioned room that although large, lacked anything modern. The bed however was comfortable...a king...with good linens.

Went to Cusco for a few days, then Aguas Calientes for 2 days, then back to this hotel. Got a different room and it was much nicer and more modern, no musty smell.

Very much enjoyed the breakfast....choices were endless and fresh. Not sure why anyone would find fault with it. I'm vegetarian and had tons of choices....my husband is not a vegetarian and he ate like a king.

Reception not that friendly, but they did hold our bags for us for a few days and we appreciated that.

Miraflores district very nice,....but you are away from things quite a bit. Larcomar Shopping/Dining Plaza which is fantastic is 5 minutes walking distance, but Lima city centre and all the other sites are a 40 minute cab ride away.....cabs however are very cheap.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days and liked the location. close to larcomar and shopping area. clean room, funny pool and gym area. The restaurante is kind of slow but there is a nice seafood restaurante called jimmys which is nice and have good ceviches.
My room had a tub jaccuzy which was nice. If you stay for one or two days in miraflores this place is not bad. beware of the hotel taxis. one of them wanted to charge me 7 soles to go larcomar and it is 3 blocks a way. I just wanted to know the prices and it is very high for miraflores.

We stayed here for two nights and were okay with the experience. It's convenient but to us, lacks a little character. We didn't like the breakfast since it only offers scramble egg vs. pancake. We were spoiled by the nice hotels we experience in Cusco region. :-) But overall, I will still recommend it to our friends.

We were exhausted when we arrived after a long day of travel. I found our room to be more than adequate and all I wanted was a nice shower. When I opened my luggage, I found my shampoos and soaps had exploded and leaked out of the plastic bags they were in. My clothes were covered with it all. The front desk was helpful in bringing up tons of extra towels, an ironing board and iron. They also provided us with extra soaps and shampoos.
We had to leave at 4 am in the morning to go with our tour so we missed the breakfast. Our bags were checked and left at the front desk because we would be returning after a night in Nazca. I was nervous about leaving my bags with no locks on them but all was fine when we returned.
The room we stayed in for the second night was nicer with a jacuzzi tub and queen bed. We ordered room service around 11 pm that night and it arrived quickly. The food was probably average but as we had not eaten a meal all day due to a bad tour arrangement, it was excellent.
The following morning our driver from the tour did not arrive to pick us up for our flight (which had NOTHING to do with the hotel). We asked the front desk if we could use the phone to call our contact, but found we had a language barrier. The man at the front desk took over and after several urgent phone calls on his part to various people, he got our driver there just in time to get to the airport and barely make the flight. We were so appreciative of his help.
The location is a short walk from the touristy Larcomar Mall and felt like a safe area to walk through. It is a busy part of town and we found that the traffic noise was annoying at first as we were trying to sleep but before long we tuned it out.
