Huacachina sounds better in writing when it's actually a slum in the middle of the desert with overpriced everything. There is NOTHING TO DO HERE except the Sand Dunes Buggie Riding and Surfing. Also DO NOT book hostels they recommend as some are party hostels with loud music on until 6am in the morning with early 20 something kids yelling and talking loudly till like 7am. You will NOT sleep at all. The Pisco tour was a disappointment. I thought we would actually be walking into the Vineyards but nope, it was more like going to a bar and doing a wine tasting which was underwhelming at best. Our guide for the Pisco Tour 'Luis' was almost nonexistent and did not engage at all with the Peruhop crowd nor did he introduce himself. Compared to Carta (who was excellent) and Renzo, Luis seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. Lake Titicaca tour and homestay is nice but be prepared to climb and AVOID if you're not fit, have high blood pressure, or pregnant. As a former soldier, it almost took my breathe away. Remember, many of Peruhop tours involve steep steps so be prepared!!
