This would have to be the worst hotel I have been in for noise the room we were in has a window which was a service shaft and very early in the morning the air conditioning units went on then workmen were hammering at 7am, the staff did not seem to care about the comforts of their clients.
After a 19 hour flight from Australia this was not the hotel we needed thankfully we moved the next day.
The only plus for this hotel was the Kara Restaurant which was underneath the hotel the food there was excellent and the staff had excellent customer service.
My wife put her handbag on the back of a chair and within seconds a waitress came along with a CHAIN and chained her bag to the chair so It would not get stolen, now that,s what I call customer service !!!!!!

Room Tip: Away from the service shaft check the window in your room and look at the bottom of the shaft

When we arrived, there was heavy construction going on directly under our second floor window. The hotel was full and we could not relocate to another room. The jack hammering, beeping of heavy equipment backing up, men yelling, pounding hammers and car alarms going off constantly due to the construction went on from early morning until after 7:00 PM. Even after the construction stopped, the traffic and endless beeping horns was deafening.

The hotel was somewhat clean, but beginning to look seedy. our bedspreads were stained and every time we flushed the toilet we had to reassemble the flush mechanism.

Room Tip: The top floor might be slightly quieter?

This is a good hotel for a safe area in Miraflores - close to the indian market and the little "downtown" Miraflores. Hotel is clean, modern look and offer a good ratio price/value. It's a little noisy outside, but I guess it's the price for staying close to the main attractions. Breakfast is included - but nothing special there. If I had to return in Lima, I can easily return there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the main street.

We were staying as part of a gap tour and this was the first hotel and last hotel we stayed at on the trip. The rooms are functional, clean, dry and ok-ish location (good for the bar areas of towns I think, though we didn't go out to bars in Lima, but a taxi journey into the centre).

What was very bad though was on our last night we got to the hotel after midnight due to a problem with our plane from the amazon, and they'd resold two of the rooms that had been booked by gap. Since the tour group use this hotel regularly I'd have expected them to ring to see if we still needed the rooms. This left our group split across two hotels on our last night, too late to go for a drink anywhere but the hotel bar, with people leaving on early morning flights. It was a real down point to the end of the trip. They room we had on our second stay also felt very damp, but it it was already midnight so no time for a dehumidifier to help, and we knew they had no spare rooms to swap.

They had a lot of trouble changing currency. We thought we'd be able to change money there, but they had so little money a couple of us managed to change enough for about 1-2 days spending (minus accomodation) and then there was none left for anyone else.

We stayed here for one night after trekking through Argentina, Bolivia, Chili and Peru for a month with GAP. The hotel was fine and actually quite modern. The hotel is centrally located. More than ok for a 3 or 4 star hotel. Definitely not the best hotel in town, but more than ok if you are catching a flight the next day.

After reading the reviews posted here I was a bit leary of this hotel. It has been a fantastic stay. Rooms are very clean and refurbished. The rooms on my floor (3rd) look nothing like the pictures posted. Staff have been so helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was perfect in the morning... all your basics, toast, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit etc.
The only thing I would complain about is the traffic (not on a major road but busy) Cars honk all hours. There is construction across the street and the jackhammer an pounding wakes you up early. This is not a problem of the hotels though.
I would stay here again. It is next to the Double Tree but cheaper and has all the ammenities I need. Location is perfect.

This hotel was just ok. The location was fine, the room was clean, but the front desk staff, particularly one women, was unfriendly. Not rude, just not welcoming at all. No smiles actually no greeting at all.
