“Small Town Euro feel”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

worth it for an afternoon stop. see the bridge of sighs, view the ocean, watch surfers, have lunch in a small local place. also visit the museum of electricity. all in spanish but a no-brainer to understand, and it's free.

“nice area worth a visit”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

This area is the bohemic part of Lima with small cafes and artist galleries.
Take a taxi from Miraflores and walk around.
This area together with Miraflores and san Isidro are the only areas that yo can fill safe during the day in Lima not like the Historical center where you fill that you need to beware all the time.

“Whether or not you go depends on...”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

...what you're here to see and how long you're here.

My wife and I are here for five and a half months, so seeing lots of things that aren't astounding is great. Barranco is a nice place, but it's probably not going to make your jaw drop or be your most memorable experience.

If you're an art person or a history buff, you'll enjoy the walkway area as it has a nice colonial, packed in feel. There's a very nice vista that on a clear day is beautiful. Cloudy days are kinda boring.

I wouldn't say this is the best place to get food unless you're going out at night and looking for a good bar or disco.

If you're here in Lima for a short stay, I recommend going to other places.

“Night owls”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Try La Noche. It's a small club which seems to have Jazz nights on Monday. Start at 10.00pm. Quite serious Andean Jazz an unfortunatley no dancing. The doorman told us not to take the taxis outside when we left and we didn't. There are other clubs around. Great tortilla from the bar.

“Really Cool Part of Lima”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

This is a great neighborhood of Lima with historic buildings. There are also great restaurants and night life. It's a good place to walk around and it is safe!
