I Stayed at this hotel twice, as part of my Intrepid Tour of Peru. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. There was a heater / fan available and hair dryer in the rooms. Excellent hot water and water pressure in the sink and shower. The internet wireless had some signal strength problems (depending on the room) but had no problem connecting when I had the signal. The hotel even provided a simple breakfast specially for my group of 12 when we left at 330 in the morning. Kennedy park was a 10 minute walk which has lots of shops and restaurants available.

I would definitely suggest this hotel as a place to stay.

Whoever designed this hotel should loose their job. It's internal acoustics are shocking! I sleep through traffic noise, alarms etc but not conversations which appear to be right outside yr door but are actually downstairs. Unless you sleep between 1am-6am only, it's not ideal.

Shame because other than that it is great. Great room, very clean, friendly service, good breakfast. Location is OK.

Def don't choose here if yr off a long haul flight or you're sick (I.e.need to sleep during day and before midnight).

Room Tip: Don't stay here? Or avoid rooms which face onto the internal terrace and are on lower levels.

Stayed here as part of a 'comfort style' Intrepid group tour. Its a nice hotel. There's a lovely little lobby. Free wifi which was really fast. The room was clean and spacious. Decent shower. Friendly staff. We had a room at the front facing the road and it was quite noisy. With regards to the location- because we were on a group tour we were brought everywhere do I don't know the ins and outs of getting to/ from the hotel to downtown- but it did seem to be out of the main centre.. Not sure if that's preferable or not as it was so busy in the historic central area (it was national day which may affect that). The taxi cost us 12 soles to the centre with our guide. There are some restaurants a few blocks away, there's a row of them. The area felt safe and was fine to walk around.

We were part of an Intrepid group, and checked in 2 days earlier. When we arrived at 0100 they could not find our reservation, even though I had a printed copy. They wasted about 15 minutes, denying that we were staying there before finally looking at the printed confirmation that I had.

Room was fine, breakfast standard for Peru. Hot water, flushing toilet!

We returned for one night at the end of the trip, and wound up with a noisy room overlooking the common area. Tough when we wanted to sleep prior to a very late night international flight. We spent 45 minutes trying to get the WiFi to work. The front desk staff denied any problem. After the third call, they sent up a staff member who could not get his phone to work, went down to re set the system and it worked fine. Just 45 minutes of frustration.

Have to walk about 10 minutes for any restaurants. Restaurant in hotel services good food at a decent price.

Room Tip: Ask for room that doesn't face into the interior.

conviniently located in the miraflores district (3 or 4 blocks from Kennedy Plazza), 25 sole ride from oldtown, clean, bit noisy (but where isnt it noisy in Lima?), confy beds, good breakfast (although quite the same every day, but most travellers dont stay longer than two days in Lima anyway before departing to Macchu Picchu or whatever) VERY friendly and helpfull staff (made copies, called taxis, made reservations, spoke to our travel agent). overall good value for money in a middle class hotel

My partner and I stayed here as part of our tour with Intrepid and to be honest would not of been one we would of chosen ourselves
The hotel itself if clean and modern but very noisy
Breakfast was good and staff helful but in my opinion it is situated too far from the restaurants/bars/main attractions and is in a residential area so not a good choice for a long stay in Lima

As most others, I've stayed here at the beginning of a tour. I shared a room with 3 beds with another person. The sole window led to the inside of the hotel (staircases), which made the room fairly noisy. I highly suggest bringing ear plugs. The layout of the rooms is a bit strange, as each floor is separated by a few staircases. While there is an elevator, some rooms may not be reached without going up or down a few stairs.

The room itself was pretty nice, the beds comfortable (not too hard not too soft). The bathroom was clean and was equipped with a hair dryer. We also saw a second room which seemed much better, so the quality is a bit hit and miss. The room has the right temperature.

The hotel has a restaurant, which was not open at the time we left for the tour. They did supply us with hot beverages, but no food. There is a nice informal meeting room with quite a few sofas and a television. There is also one computer available to anyone.

Giraflores was located at about 10-15 minutes from Parque Kennedy, on the other side of a large highway, maybe 25 minutes from the ocean side.

All in all, it wasn't the best hotel experience ever, but it wasn't the worst either.
