This hotel is at the edge of the present Miraflores district in Peru. The street is full of jewelry shops with a sideline in art materials. Everything is on hand including the most secure internet place I have ever been in. If you arrive on Sunday most of the shopfronts are shuttered. Hotel has a pleasant, solid feel to it. Internal walls are faced in an adobe coloured brick so if whitewash is your thing you may find the effect a little sombre. Everything is clean and comfortable. The real star of the show though is Max. I had a couple of late and early morning flights in and out of Lima and he arranged all the transportation. I loved the contrasting taxi drivers - from the fastidious Dionysius to the rather shambling Elvis (late Elvis) fan.

We were supposed to stay in this hotel for 3 nights, but after one night we moved to other hotel. The location is not bad, it's not far from Parque Kennedy. The hotel is really dark so it feels depressing. The worst is the noise from outside. There is nightclub across the street and the room doesn't have good window so we could hear it all night long. The bathroom is really old and it's not too clean but hot water is available all the time.

Bit of a chill in Lima in July and this place was cold - no heating. This place was VERY NOISY with loads of loud traffic noise , which was made worse by the manager starting a pump early in the morning whcih was LOUD also. Reasonable size room with a tiny (and dirty) bathroom with smelly bath towels. Windows did not seal shut. Ours was a 2nd floor room - higher rooms MAY have been a bit quieter but overall I would say a hotel to avoid. Location is OK but there are planty of better hotel choices nearby.

After a late arrival into Jorge Chaves Airport, Hotel Esperanza had a driver waiting to take us to the hotel. The hotel also made a good recommendation for dinner about three blocks away at Parque Kennedy. The bathroom was an interesting shade of 50's green, but the shower was warm. Good deal and the front desk was helpful.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed my stay. It is within walking distance of Larcomar shopping center, restaurants, two grocery stores and other shops. I always felt safe walking to and from the hotel. As mentioned in prior reviews, Max was extremely helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was included with the room: ham omelette, bread, coffee/tea. The room was comfortable and there was plenty of space for my things. There was also plenty of hot water. T.V. had english speaking channels which was a nice bonus. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I were to return to Lima.
