La Quinta is all you may expect from a boutique hotel: they pay attention to the details, they take care of your experience, they provide quality personalized service. Room nice, spacious and with a beautiful and super clean bathroom, lovely breakfasts in the garden, very convenient location. Highly recommendable.

Every room has it’s caracteres and the bath tub in my room was spectacular... looking forward to get to know the other rooms.

The Quinta Miraflores Boutique Hotel is a charming, stylish, and friendly inn conveniently located in a lively enclave of Lima, Peru.

This small hotel occupies an early 1900s Italianate mansion that is part of an Italian-designed cluster “quinta” of similar homes of the same era. Two Italian Peruvian women created the comfortable yet fashionable lodging that often hosts photo shoots for weddings and fashion shows. Unique décor abounds. There are children’s vintage shoe molds, old portraits, and an Italianate dollhouse complete with furnishings mirroring those of the hotel.

The four rooms are immaculately clean and spacious with sitting areas and tea services. The bathrooms are large and well-stocked. Our “Green Room” had both a shower and a footed soaking tub. The bedroom had a large window overlooking the “quinta” courtyard and one neighbor’s collection of classic cars. All the conveniences are on hand – Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV, etc.

The hotel is located in an affluent neighborhood near the intersection of two major roads – the Circuito de Playas following the coast north toward the airport and the Avenue Paseo de la Republica leading to the city Centrale. While waiting for an Uber, six taxis asked us if we needed a ride.

The inn is one block from a lively neighborhood commercial center with boutiques, cafes, and restaurants, and two blocks from a Hilton complex housing the famous ámaZ Restaurant featuring delicacies from the Amazon. World famous restaurants such as Central (top 5) are nearby. Kennedy Park, a sanctuary for cats, and Park Central are a 15-minute walk. These parks are surrounded by shops and restaurants filled with both tourists and locals until late in the evening.

Wander through upscale neighborhoods to the west, and in 15 minutes you can be in the famous Locomar shopping center built into the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We were more adventuresome and walked back (30 min.) from Astrid & Gastón, Lima’s most renowned restaurant in the wealthy San Isidro neighborhood, through the charming Olive Grove Forest, and past the Pre-Columbian Ruins of Huaca Pucllana. One afternoon we ambled along the palisades to the nouveau chic Barranco neighborhood. Residents flock to the parks along the bluffs overlooking the Pacific to watch the sunset.

A highlight of our visit was meeting Erika, the gracious hostess with whom we had corresponded before our trip. She was charming, resourceful, and helpful—she anticipated our every need. We looked forward to chatting with her every afternoon before going out for dinner or evening excursions. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the hotel, restaurants, historic sites, itineraries, and agendas to make our visit interesting and pleasurable. Erika even salvaged one of our evenings by running to a restaurant to protest its cancellation of our reservation! We got our table back!

Rochelle took care of us mornings, preparing a delicious and healthy breakfast of eggs, yogurt, fresh fruits, juice, coffee, and toast that we ate at a small table on the lawn. She left gifts on our pillows every night, including 2019 Happy New Year’s glasses. Ivan and Guillermo watched the car park and provided security for both the inn and the neighboring “quinta.”

Room tip: The Green Room is large and overlooks the Quinta courtyard.
