“Won't missing anything if you miss this”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We decided to visit Pachacamac on our visit to Lima. These are old ruins which are being restored. The Limavision guide spoke broken english and didn't do a great job in explaining the significance of the site. The site in itself was huge and had the sea in it's background but pales in front of other sites in Peru or even in Lima. Not worth a visit for the cost, time and effort involved.

“Good half a day trip”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

Makes a nice half day trip out of lima. Extensive site. I did it by car but you can easily do the site walking.

“Pre-inca meets inca”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

I booked a tour with Limavision. I was picked up at the hotel, which is a good service and included in the price of 115 soles. The guide spoke good English. I had a divers company mostly Spanish speaking people. I received a lot of information from the guide before we arrived at the ancient location. The location it self is very good maintained, which I wasn't expecting. The museum is small but nice, it's good and nice walkthrough and not overwhelming of information, which I like. The transportation to the different temples is good, otherwise it's a long walk, specially for people who are not in good shape. There are people working on the temple everywhere and restoring parts too. We walked around the temple of the sun and saw some nice vistas from there.
It's a 40 minutes drive from Miraflores and the visit itself was about 1,5 - 2 hours.

“Nice Excursion into the Dunes”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

Although the site is less than an hour from Lima it is really neat to see how drastically the landscape changes to barren sand dunes. The archaeological site is huge and you definitely need a car to get around to all the places. The Temple of the Sun is worth the hike up to the top as you have lovely ocean views amid the ruins.

“Pachacamac Oracle”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Not so far from the city, it has a museum but the principal thing is that it has a lot of history to be told. This is the oldest Oracle in Peru that was important in the pre-hispanic times.
It is good to spend the morning and not so far from the beach.
