Area that is the preferred place to live right now. Lots of high rises with views of the Pacific. Older ares are under going refurbishing. Lots of great restaurants.

So many people all the time. Huge number of restaurants and pubs with a very reasonable price for all tastes; friendly and safe despite what everybody was telling us in the US. Much more danger in many cities within USA than in Lima. Tis is the best neighborhood

Peru is a place wehere I have never had a bad meal. Miraflores is a centric and safe area with many good and inexpensive restaurants... Don't be afraid to try them all...

Miraflores is a friendly safe city. The people all are more than willing to help you with directions if you're lost. When you first arrive, find a tourist office and pick up a map. This also has information about the main tourist attractions including opening times. I would advise you to stay close to Parque Kennedy as most tourist sites are close to this area. However, staying further away isn't much of a problem as you can walk pretty much everywhere in Miraflores or get a cab if it's late. My highlights were the Larcomar shopping centre and the parks further along the coast. It's a nice walk from the shopping centre. If you would like to improve your Spanish, go to Peruwayna language school. A great friendly place to learn Spanish and reasonably priced!
