We absolutely loved staying at the El Pardo - DoubleTree by Hilton! Located in Miraflores, the El Pardo is close to many of Lima's popular restaurants and clubs, and fairly central when you wish to visit the tourist sites. It is a bit of a long taxi ride to El Centro (downtown, where the old part of the city is located) but I would argue it is much safer and nicer to stay in Miraflores and take a 30 minute taxi drive downtown when you want to see it, rather than spending your whole stay downtown at another hotel.

The rooms in El Pardo are excellent - ours was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a firm bed, nice linens and high quality towels, large TV and cosy arm chair (plus desk and various areas to store clothing). The room was very clean, without any smells that hotels sometimes have. The bathroom was also newly renovated and very lovely, with lots of stone and glass. Overall, I thought the room and location were excellent value.

We travelled with our infant son (five months old). Upon request, the hotel staff put a Pack'n Play crib in the room for our son and they were very friendly and helpful getting us whatever we needed.

Although breakfast wasn't included with our room, we bought breakfast in El Pardo on the first day in Lima. The breakfast buffet was very comprehensive - best I've seen in Latin America and we've lived in the region for 3 years. The buffet included custom ordered omelettes, a variety of fresh juices, fresh fruits (including fresh figs, yum!), cheese/cold cuts, yogurt, cereals, etc. as well as about 6-7 hot dishes, including the really delicious pork rinds you find in Lima. I was particularly impressed that they had freshly baked muffins and a selection of nuts and dried fruit to add to your cereal, if you wished. Also, the cereal included granola and bran buds, which is unusual in Latin America as you typically only find the junky cereals with a lot of sugar at buffets. The service at breakfast was also impeccable; coffee was served (and topped up) piping hot, without needing to ask. The staff was very attentive and even catered to our infant son, who kept "dropping" spoons on the floor... which were quickly replaced with more clean spoons for him to suck on!

Upon arrival we received a warm, delicious cookie (that totally hit the spot after a flight and long taxi ride from the airport) as well as a welcome Pisco Sour. Both were nice touches! The staff was very helpful throughout our stay, booking taxis and making/adjusting reservations as needed.

I have absolutely no negative feedback. The El Pardo - DoubleTree exceeded our expectations at every step of the way during our trip and I would not hesitate to stay there again while in Lima and recommend it to friends, family and colleagues.

The hotel rooms are dated.
Breakfast is able to satisfy every need.
The staff is courteous and helpful.
The hotel is located in the Miraflores district, nearby you can find good restaurants and all the shops you want, the area is quiet and you can walk without problems.

The staff in this hotel and their attention to detail is what makes them different. Their professional and friendly attitude was a very welcomed quality. The concierge, Ruben, ought to be commended for taking personal concern of his guests.

This is a great hotel with a great location. The rooms in standard category weren’t large but the price was so reasonable everyone in our group got separate rooms and didn’t have to share. The breakfast buffet included in the room rate, was great with a variety of breakfast and dinner type foods. I would describe it more as a brunch menu. On arrival they give you complimentary drink voucher which we all used for our first Pisco Sour just great!! The room had all the enmities; robe, ironing, safe, mini bar, and two bottle of water in bathroom and two bottles on the desk at extra no charge. TV had lots of English speaking cable channels, and Large bathroom, great A/C. The hotel is in walking distance of the “Inca Markets”-make sure not to buy any framed dead tarantulas or framed dead butterflies. They sell them openly. I was detained at the airport in Lima and missed my flight to Santiago, Chile. It’s legal for the locals to sell but illegal for a tourist to “transport” a dead tarantula out of the country. So in effect making the tourist responsible for enforcing their laws while not making the Peruvian responsible or liable. Besides tourist have more money. The hotel has some good restaurant close by the best was La Tanquera, a must for great steaks. The main street Av. Laco is close and great for walking. The main casinos are down this road. There is also a Starbucks and McDonalds at the intersection.

I really liked the hotel. They were very welcoming. Excellent gym facility. Excellent Breakfast – I particularly enjoyed the house made granola. The fruit was also very fresh and tasty. They were very accommodating for anything I needed. I would definitely stay there again.
