“Great Hotel”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

I went with my kids. Family friendly, great service, breakfast buffet amazing!
It is located in front of a well known Commercial center and has the view of the ocean, just great!
It is a very expensive hotel, but worth it if you can afford it.

Without a doubt, the JW Marriott is one of the most expensive hotels in Lima. But, as is often true in life, you get quality that is directly proportional to cost. Our stay at the JW Marriott was flawless. The staff were attentive, friendly, and very helpful. We upgraded on a whim to the executive level and found it very worth the modest upgrade cost. They have three meals a day (and a cheese/drinks time) in the executive lounge plus free wifi/wired internet in your room and throughout the hotel included in the upgrade price. The rooms were generously sized with well appointed bathrooms and incredible views from every room. If you're in the market for a 5 star hotel, just stop here and book the JW Marriott (and splurge for the executive level upgrade). You won't be sorry.

Room Tip: With the views here, higher is definitely better although there probably isn't a bad view in the...

This hotel is in a popular area with the beach across the street but it is geared more toward the upscale traveler or business professional than beach-going families. It is one of the nicest hotels in Lima. The Sunday Brunch was impressive with a large variety of dishes, all quite tasty, including a carving station, fresh seafood, sushi, and a good selection of regional delights. The selection of sweets were plentiful. The price includes all you drink pisco sour and there were strolling musicians. They will validate your parking ticket at the reception desk. This made for a very indulgent long Sunday afternoon. Reservations required.

we spent a day in Lima at the beginning of our trip to Peru. The hotel is in a great location across from the beach and an underground mall in Miraflores.
Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff were very good.
Elevators were a little weird, with one set from the ground up to the second floor lobby and then a second set up to the rooms.
Paying extra for Wifi was a bit much

The Hotel is on the ocean front. We stayed In Miraflores for three days and enjoyed the comfort and convenience of this hotel. It is in the middle of a tourist area. So there is a bit of a walk to see the center of town, but it is very good for people who like me who enjoy walking. It is also walking distance to Barranco, the arts district, about a mile.
Very nice.

Room Tip: Most rooms are seaside view.

Supposed 5 star hotel. Outdoor swimming pool open for 3-4 months per year only. In room wifi charged at an extortionate rate. Laundry is ludicrously expensive - even by hotel standards. Bizarre arrangement with lifts. Have to take lift from ground fllor to lobby, then change lifts to go up to rooms. Lifts are neither plentiful nor fast.

Hotel is totally non-smoking. They threaten to charge you US$250 for smoking in your hotel room...!

Hotel is well located for Miraflores shopping areas.

Recently spent one night here and it was excellent. This is exactly what you expect from a JW Marriott. After contacting the hotel, they had a car waiting for us at the airport and in a matter of minutes we were relaxing in our room. The bed was perfect and we enjoyed having both a soaker tub and a standup shower in the room. The room had a great view of the ocean and Larcomar mall. Claudia the concierge had perfect recommendations for everything we wanted to do and was very attentive! Clahil at the lounge made the best pisco sours and was incredibly friendly - top notch bartender. I would highly recommend the Tiger's Milk Ceviche from the lounge.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor facing the ocean! We were told the roof top pool is the place to be in the summ...
