The portions are huge and wholesome. You definitely feel like you've had a health kick when you've been here, and the prices are good. But the food is variable. The artichoke ceviche was very nice. The mushroom ceviche was fine but not as spicy as it should be - a little bland and not as good as what we had on the inca trail in a tent. For mains, both ours came with wholegrain rice and some nice fresh broccoli, carrots and zucchini. My dish was very nice - a big piece of aubergine on a tofu slice with tomato, cheese and herbs on top. Simple but tasty. My wife's was weird. It was a sort of tofu roulade with vegetables and cheese inside, sliced and served. It was almost very nice but came with a sweet and sour sauce on top which was very fruity and just didn't go. The homemade fresh fruit juices are superb.

Service was a little weird. Our mains came before we had finished our starters. The girl on the til recalculated our bill 3 times and was laughing hard about something with our waiter. I don't think they swindled us but it was weird behaviour.

Food was okay but nothing spectacular. Salad was cut up fresh veggies with bland avocado dressing. Bread was pretty good though.

The picture on the menu for one of our dishes was not the right photo, the server didn't tell us when we ordered and it ended up being a disappointing dish -- very bland and not what we expected at all. They need to learn to season properly. Mixed ceviche was decent. Portions were all surprisingly big.

Their fruit juices are really good though -- highly recommend. And they have this spicy sauce that everyone who likes some kick should ask for.

Ambiance is a bit weird. We were in a private room by ourselves and the decor is outdated and the place overall looks a little run down.

Service was awful. We had to get up to find the waiter almost every time we needed something. Took forever to get anything we asked for, and the timing for the coursing of dishes was way off -- we actually had to get our final dish to go because it took so long.

Miraflores district in Lima can offer to you a diversity in cuisine, but if you are vegetarian the Bircher Benner restaurant can give you a clean and correct menu. Is not vegan, but at least you are sure they do not mix their kitchen with the blood of animals as many offering vegetarian cuisine they do. The menu of the day for about $ 7 is acceptable and you have two choices for the main course. They also offer different products as the Algarrobo pouder to mix with your drinks. Miraflores is a safe disctrict in Lima and the restaurant is next to the Kennedy park. If you want the menu of the day, be sure to be in right time to get it, after 1.30 pm there is not more of this option.

Generous portions of great vegetarian/vegan food in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. I was very pleased to find vegan options.

My friend and I stopped in here while we were looking for a different vegetarian restaurant and the sign outside says it's vegetarian so we thought we'd try it out. Located on the second story, it's a nice atmosphere, our service was good with a very nice waitor. There were lots and lots of options, everything from the juices which were organic and fresh and always a winner in my book- try the Tuna - it's prickly pair and Indian Fig - to the soups, entrees, pizzas and desserts. I had a Sopa Papa Amarilla, a yellow potato soup with spinach, garlic and noodles, it was delicious. We also ordered the mozarella, onion, olive and tomato wheat bread which was great and we were stuffed. Definitely recommend for vegetarians and non-veges as they have veggie meat.
