“Great fun when visiting Lima”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

My husband and I made this our first stop in our recent trip to Peru. We made causa, cebiche, escabeche and picarones. I appreciate how they let us swap in a different main course. Christian and Yurac made the whole experience a lot of fun and very informative. All the ingredients are gathered before hand and a bit of the food prep is done during demonstrations, but the rest is done by participants - chopping, mixing, cooking, etc. You see/learn/do the step-by-step process first hand and then sit down and enjoy each dish as it's finished. My husband is from Peru and loved each dish. Great atmosphere too with lessons being conducted at their roof-top patio and kitchen. I would definitely do it again.

“Sky kitchen”
Reviewed March 4, 2013

Okay, it's a bit expensive. But we knew nothing about Peruvian cuisine and were nervous about what to eat, not speaking Spanish and warned not to eat salads etc. By the end of the evening we were eager to eat ONLY Peruvian meals in our two week visit. We loved the venue and the bits of history and culture that accompanied the preparation of our four course meal. We are buying limes and salsa and raw fish and making everything we learned to make as soon as we return to Toronto. They have emailed the recipes and we feel toatally able to make them. We are halfway through our trip and still talking about that wonderful evening and meal - so so mucho glad we did it. Make sure you take the directions with you and a bottle of wine if you want one and allow 3 hours.

“Great fun”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

We had a wonderful trip to the market where Christian and Yurac explained all the different fruits, vegetable and meat cuts available and used in Peru. then home to try all the fruits and start cooking. Every step was fully explained and watched over to make sure we did everything correctly. We learned so much about Peruvian culture and cuisine, and got to enjoy the result.

We picked this out on the web, sight unseen and did not read all the reviews. We were extremely pleased with the experience and enjoyed every minute. Great way to understand Peru.

“A great time”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

We were lucky enough to have our own private lesson. My daughter and I wanted to try something different. We really enjoyed the beautiful apartment the class was held in. The food was awesome and Christain did a great job informing us on all the assests of cooking. We loved all the different kinds of food we made. The only odd thing was the head chef Yurac, was not really into it. He did not say anything even though my daughter speaks spanish. The only time when he seemed to get more involved is when we were paying for are cooking lesson. He was then right there with his calculater figureing how much we owed. Very expensive but it was worth it! jane and nicole from wisconsin
