Great burritos, big, very tasty. Nice options like tamal de chocolate. Just remember the address since there is no sign. Best burrito in Lima for sure!

“American Style Mexican Food in Peru!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

It's pretty difficult to find "Mexican" food in South America that has the same taste as the Mexican food in the USA. I'm a Peruvian who grew up in the Northwest of the U.S. in Oregon. Burritos, tacos and nachos are what we dream of when we are away from it for too long. Burrito bar is fantastic! My other expat friends have mentioned this place but I had never seen it...even though I live in Barranco. There isn't a sign for it outside, so it might be hard to find but it's a great place to go when you're really hungry! At first I thought the price was a little high but once I realized how big the food portion was, it is well worth it and the flavors are amazing. The guacamole, the carnita (pork) and mozzarella cheese on top was delicious. I hope anyone passing by in Barranco tries it at least once. If you are an expat looking for a great Mexican pick me up, this is the place to go!

“SUBLIME!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

Can't tell you what a treat it is to find Chipotle-esque burritos in Lima! Don't miss the fish tacos either - YUM! Tricky to find though, no sign. It's also quite hot in the summer months inside. Definitely worth a little sweat and extra effort to locate though. Two thumbs up!

“Just a hole on the wall”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

Finally curiosity brought me to this so called great restaurant, which is NOT. Its just a hole on the wall that serves big burritos to hungry travelers. The place is not nice at all, and the service is even worse. Its cost is average at the least, its just rice and beans and it costs $ 6 , not cheap for Lima standards.
I will never understand how can this place be considered or even thought as one of the best restaurants in Lima by TA users. You can surely find 1000 places which are much better.
To come all the way to Peru and waste your money and time to eat a Burrito at a hole on the wall makes absolutely no sense at all to me.
Now, if you are a Gringo resident in Lima and craving for some Tex-Mex burrito, maybe its a different situation all together

“Great Burritos in Barranco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

Previous posts are hyping this up as a Mexican restaurant, but be clear this is a burrito bar, no traditional mexican dishes, just burritos, tacos and quesadillas. Considering the lack of any decent Mexican in Lima, this place is the spot to hit if you're having a salsa craving.

First things first, it is next to impossible to find. It is literally a hole in the wall off the main square in Barranco. Finding it is a badge of honor for ex-pats, most locals will look at you crazy if you ask where it is, but it is well worth a few missed turns. The food is great, burritos are made with your choice of meat, beans, and all the fix'ins. Their salsa and guacamole are home made and delicious, try the chips and salsa for a sampler of both. The fish tacos are amazing. And it is one of the only spots in Lima I have found Sierra Andina, a local micro-brew. No booze? try their mint lemonade!

Service is good, but some items may be out as everything is made fresh. The price is right, so if you can find it, give it a shot.
