We have used over a dozen hotels in Lima. This one is one of the better hotels we have used for a conference.

We hosted an event here for over 100 participants and the hotel worked very well with us. The have a nice conference room that would hold a couple hundred people easily.

The only negative to the hotel is the location. While technically it is in Miraflores (one of the best parts of town to stay in), it is not near the main parts of Miraflores. Taxis are inexpensive but I prefer to walk when possible.

I do recommend the hotel.

I stayed here for a couple of days as part of a trip to Peru before going on the Inca Trail with my husband. Overall, the hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly (they recommended a couple of great restaurants and were very helpful when we asked for museum suggestions). The downsides of the hotel are that I found it to be very poorly lit and the breakfast is not very good, but this is a good choice if you are in Lima for a few days and want a comfortable room for a great value.

Overall: I stayed here for over a week while visiting Peru with my cohort for our PhD work. I enjoyed my stay. Some of the staff were more personable, helpful, and friendly than others. Specifically, the staff at the desk weren't so great in comparison with the staff at the restaurant/bar, etc. Everyone was helpful once asked, but don't expect anyone to go out of their way to be overly helpful. On the first night I was told they'd bring a complimentary drink to my room and I gave them my preference but I never got it.

Cost/Value: The price was just over $100 a night which I thought was a fair price. This price includes a great breakfast with choices of oatmeal, cereal, fresh fruit (was my fave), yogurts, juices (my other fave), hot tea, coffee, breads, cheeses, and hot foods that changed day-to-day such as meat and egg dishes. The breakfast was really good although of course after almost 2 weeks I started to wish for more variety. But I still enjoyed it very much.
However, it was strange to me that prices seemed to change and they couldn't tell me very far ahead of time how much my last couple nights would be.

Rooms: Roomy and comfortable with cable tv, a refridgerator, and nice big shower. Rooms were always kept clean. There was a hair dryer that worked well although it left my hair frizzy. I always had plenty of hot water except for one night--not sure what the deal was that night but it was all cold. The temperature control was also VERY touchy, so I had to be very careful. HOWEVER, my room was the side of the street which was very noisey because it is a very normal thing for people to honk their horns on their cars. Like for just about any reason. So in addition to the normal noise of the street, there were several nights with all kinds of yelling and noise down below. The police even came one night. Ask for a room that is NOT along the street.

Location: Not great. Pretty far from the airport but then again most hotels are. There is nothing within decent walking distance in regard to history, tourist, markets. But cabs are decently priced and you are just a short ride from those things.

Lima in general: AMAZING! There are many beautiful churches and buildings of a Spanish colonial style to be seen. You MUST see the cultural/traditional parades in the town square! Beautiful costumes and dance, great music, just great. Was my favorite thing to see in Lima. RESTAURANTS were fabulous! Some of the best food I've ever eaten. We went to the nicest restaurants in town and a full meal of appetizer, main entree, dessert, wine, and coffee/tea was about one third to one forth of what I pay back here at a nice restaurant in the States.

Room Tip: Do NOT get a room on the street side--very noisey, mainly due to the local practice of car honking f...
