“Yaammeeeeee - good food”
Reviewed April 14, 2012 via mobile

Saltado de mar y montaña was excellent. It is kind of a surf and turf stew. The piscu sour were a perfect fit.
They also have vegetarian dishes: I highly recommend the Tacu Tacu vegetarian style...
The desert Suspiro a la limeña was a sweet ending.
Go and enjoy the hospitality.
The restaurant is located in the Runcu Hotel on the eighth floor in the Mira Flores District in a good and safe neighbourhood.

“Nice hotel in a good location”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

We stayed two nights in hotel runcu, and what makes this place stand out is the staff. The room was fairly small, but had everything we needed and was nicely done. The location is in a nice area of Miraflores - about 20mins stroll along the waterfront to larcomar.

“Great food, great service and a great find.”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

This little restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel is a really great find. The chef is so friendly and helps with menu choices as does the waitress.

My wife had the langoustine tagliatelle and it was perfect. I had a chicken soup which was just what I needed. Both were very cheap and had great fresh ingredients. We were really surprised and impressed.

I would really recommend that people come here even if not staying at the hotel.

“Wow what a pleasent surprise!”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

We were staying at the hotel and had our breakfast here and saw the specials for that night and decided to give it a try. Everything was great, the owner worked in the States for years, speaks perfect English and knows his craft. We particularly enjoyed the seafood, both the tuna, seared perfectly and the swordfish over quiona, excellent. On our way back through Lima we stopped in again an had Alpaca and Osobuco, and again were impressed.
You can spend a lot more in Lima and get a lot less, this is truly a gem.

“Our Favorite restaurant in Miraflores!”
Reviewed June 17, 2011

Runcu Restaurant is located on the top floor of the Runcu Hotel in a residential neighborhood in Miraflores. It is a short (5 soles) cab ride from John F. Kennedy Park.
We were introduced to this restaurant by a friend, and it is truly one of the best hidden gems in Miraflores. Any cab driver should be able to get you there if you just ask to go to Runcu. being on the top floor, they have a lovely outdoor dining area with lovely views.
The place is fairly small, between 6 and 10 tables, so it may be difficult to get a table during peak times. I am not sure if they take reservations. It is especially popular with american expats and tourists.
The owner, Gonzalo, treats every guest as if they were his personal friends, and his graciousness and hospitality are boundless. A plus is that Gonzalo studied cooking in the States, so speaks perfect English and Spanish.
The staff are all extremely friendly and efficient. The food is absolutely amazing, and always fresh. Our favorites were the Lomo Saltado, Tuna Saltado, Tuna rolls covered in poppy seeds, Pesto, and one of the best Pisco Sours, including a special variation on the drink .
The cuisine is definitely gourmet, and the prices are extremely reasonable. We ate here multiple times during our trip, and would have eaten here every night if we had gotten the chance.
