With the popularity of Peruvian crafts growing, a lot of the "street crafts" are becoming outsourced and machine made.
Las Pallas is the exact opposite. Mari Solari, the owner, is committed to preserving the arts in Peru and makes regular visits to areas to ensure her products are genuine. In addition - she is a local advocate in educating Peruvian youth about how and why Peruvian art is important.
The shop is great - just be careful asking Mari a question - she'll respond then more information then you will ever want to know about a particular item. I would say this place is a must visit - even if just to browse.
