We stayed for 2 nights in a double room with private bathroom. The room was basic but clean and the water hot. The hostel is in a great location in the heart of Miraflores and walking distance from all the main sights. The staff are helpful and organised our taxi to and from the airport. All in all a good value hostal.

I stayed at this hostel for a week recovering after a busy three weeks of travel with family during a six-month trip through South America. 151 was just what I needed at the time: relatively quiet both in atmosphere in and around the hostel, lack of a fist-pumping party vibe, responsive staff, and smaller quarters. I stayed in the four-person female dorm so it was great to regroup being around fewer people. There are also privates and a larger mixed dorm available, as well.

Location was perfect - 5 min walk to Parque Kennedy in beautiful Miraflores and situated near a major intersection (Benavides and Larco) so that most things are close but not right outside your door (better to keep down the street noise). Place is clean but no-frills. Bathrooms could use a little work. But obviously it was good enough for me since I was there seven nights. :)

We stayed in double room with private bathroom. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the water was hot an added bonus was the tv, it had a few English movie channels. There was also a common area with a tv / DVD player a choice of DVDs, books or magazines to read and just about the most helpful staff you can imagine and they all speak pretty good English. The breakfast was included and the bread was fresh daily! We returned to Lima a month later but only passed through and had a day to kill, we called into to the hostal and they let us leave our packs there for free and offered us the facilities for a reduced day rate! They are so helpful, we would only stay there now if we return to Lima.

Overall my experience was great. Then I tried to have one of my good friends of a long time over for a beer, and they wouldn't even let us sit outside and chat with each other. We were told guests were not allowed and that my friend had to leave immediately. This was disappointing as we had much to catch up on and we were not causing problems or being loud. Safe, yes. Cozy, yes. Friendly staff? Not so much. If you ask recommendations of anyone except Marcelo they don't have much to say. Would have appreciated the ability to have a 30 conversation with an old friend, but was denied for no real reason.

I had one bed in female's dorm, which has four bed in total.
the room is not big but clean, they make the bed everyday.
wood case as locker, not big enough for luggage but enough for backpacker
need to use your own lock like most hostel do

151 provides breakfast, which is great for people lazy looking for food in the morning.
cosy common area with a sweet cat.
the location is good too, close to the central park of Miraflores, place to change money and a archaeological site, Pucllana.
the entrance is controlled so you will need people open door for you to get in or "out". if leaving for an early flight, make sure someone open door for you!

the bath place is a bit lack of private but the hot water is reliable.
basically the place is quite, though sometimes you can hear people of 2nd floor walk
also you may hear people talk in the common place, but not really bother me.

the other thing is, they charge 1USD per day for using hair dryer, which is not mentioned on the website. consider it if you really need to use one.

to sum up, a nice place with reasonable price, worth to try.

We found that the location for this hostel was close to all the main attractions in Miraflores and easy enough to get public transport into the city centre. The hostel is set off a quiet street with good security to keep it safe, although always felt safe even when walking at night as it is right next to a large hotel chain.

We stayed in a private room with ensuite facing the garden, we found the room to be spacious and clean with plenty of storage space, hot water and comfortable beds, it also had cable tv and a fridge. We also enjoyed the outside garden area before hitting the town at night time. Breakfast was adequate although you may want to top up using the supermarkets close by.

The staff were very friendly and the manager was very helpful with tips and suggestions of restaurants and attractions in the area.

We found that this hostel may be expensive but that it was comparable to other hostels in the capital city. Due to the location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff and the lovely common areas we felt that it represented good value for money and a good night sleep.

151 is a small and quite hostel close to the center of Miraflores, one of the more popular locations in Lima for travelers.
The common area is cosy and the kitchen is a pleasure to use. The sleep quality could do with some work as they use those plastic mattresses that the sheets slide right off. It was a cool time of year when I was there but I think it might be hot in the summer months.
The showers definitely need some work on the privacy issues. I stayed there and there was only 2-3 others but if this place is busy I would suggest somewhere else.
The owner is friendly even though he did sell a private room out from under my booking.
