“too much noise”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

amazing building but really bad service. I went there with some limenian friends and they took hours to serve us. We asked for some finger food and drinks. The drinks were plain and the food was not good. We felt stolen. We paid our tap and went to puente de los suspiros. It was much better over there.

loved the pisco sour variety, tried one with coca leaves which was very tasty. the plates to share were also very good. the best place if you only have one night out in Lima in the cool area of Barranco.

“Great architecture, design, atmosphere in Barranco, Lima”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

The atmosphere is amazing. We arrived early, around 8 p.m. and it was almost empty. By 11 p.m. It was full. The building is an old casona with great two contouring stairs, perhaps made of marble, leading to the 2nd floor and main entrance. We ordered a beer and a juice of maracuya, plus 2 orders of picarones (typical sweet dish of Lima). One order would have suffice for 2 people. The bill was very affordable for North American standards, high for Lima standards, but in our case, all worth it. The decor was very professional and beautiful! The service was very friendly and the atmosphere great for a good time with friends. The music level was perhaps a bit high in the second floor. Next time will try one of the other rooms. It was a bit hard to hear each other.

“Feel like a Sir at a hippster bar!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

I have never felt more comfortable at a bar before; the architecture reminds me of the old houses in barranco, owned by the wealthy families of Lima. Within this bar you will find two separate atmospheres, the classic dance/bar located on the upper floor, and then my personal favorite a living room/lounge area for people who want to talk, drink and maybe enjoy something to eat. This is a great place to go out with friends if you are into talking, and if you would like to dance to great music the upper part is just one stair case away. Their drinks are very original and you can sense a refreshing feeling of patriotism within their names. Ayahuasca gave me the impression of being in some ones house, the service was great and the music volume wasn’t overwhelmingly high. This is a great place for anyone visiting the beautiful city of lima, and would like to enjoy the refreshing taste of lounge bar without the techno music or the crazy lights.
