“Nice, clean, modern hotel”

Even the restaurant is good. The location is ok, but not near much other stuff. Still it felt safe and I will be back there in a few days. My only problem is the "single" beds. Not for couples! The shower is awesome. Not a bad choice, but it would be nice to be near other restaurants and shops.

Novotel in Lima is a good option for the business traveler. Located in the business district of San Isidro it's not particularly well suited for the tourist. On the plus side, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The wifi internet access is pretty good and free. The included breakfast is above average and has a wide selection of items but it's not great. You will find scrambled eggs but don't expect omelets or waffles. Drink choices are very limited and I found the orange juice to be very sour. There are several issues you must be aware of before booking a room at the Novotel. Elevators are very slow and you will need to insert your room card before pressing your floor button. Your room card will only allow you to press your own floor button so if you need to go to another floor you're out of luck. When there are a lot of people trying to use the elevator expect a long wait as each one has to use their cards to select their floors. This is very annoying and does little to enhance your security since anyone can just stand and wait for someone else to use their keys to access the room floors. Once in your room you will find that the nightstands are extremely small with no room for anything including your wallet or cell phone. There are only 220V outlets so make sure everything you bring is 220 V ready or bring a converter. The outlets are US style so at least you will not need an adapter, just make sure whatever you plug in is 220 ready. The mini bar has few choices and as expected is on the expensive side. Other items missing from the rooms are irons and ironing boards. Your only eating options are the hotel restaurant or room service since there are almost no restaurants nearby. If you plan on eating out you will have to take a taxi. Also, there are no convenience stores nearby and shopping choices are also extremely limited. If you want to go shopping or sightseeing you will have to take a taxi.

The rooms are very small, but have just about anything you might need: a comfortable bed, a nice glass-door shower, a separate room for the toilet, and a good TV. The buffet breakfast is nice, with quite a few options including some very good breads. The location is great; near shopping and good restaurants.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the street are quieter but look at the other side of the building

The Novotel started like a great alternative to the very low hotel offer of the Peruvian capital. Since it peaked right after its opening it has diminished its capability to attract and mostly retain customers. Rooms are starting to look old and poorly maintained, internet doesn't work at all in some areas of the building (specially in the quiet side) and finding a taxi is an ordeal that is only solved by walking a few hundred meters to the nearby Swissotel.
I was a regular and loyal customer until I decided that my comfort should overpower my loyalty. I moved to the nearby Atton.

Room Tip: Pick the back rooms where is quieter but bear in mind that no Internet will be available.

This hotel is new and has a very modern and up to date layout and equipment. The rooms seemed bigger than standard Novotel size. The reception staff was very helpful and the breakfast choice just perfect. I didn't find the location being that good, Miraflores would be nicer but it was just a short drive by taxi. Additionally, the steam room was so good and relaxing after a long flight.. I'd choose to stay here again, very nice hotel indeed.

We stayed here for 3 separate nights and were treated very well by all staff. Check in was quick and courteous. Rooms were complete with amenities but a little cramped. One king bed instead of 2 doubles could solve that. Rooms remind me of what you get in Europe. Great location in the financial district of San Isidro with many good restaurants and shopping nearby.
Reasonable rates for what you get. In house restaurant is OK but the breakfast buffet is extensive
