I know this will be controversial but there really is nothing special about this place. We had the mixed grill platter and the meats were tasty enough but nothing to write home about (and certainly not at the price the restaurant charges). As a visitor to Peru, we have eaten at restaurants whcih serve as better introductions to Peruvian food and if its just a mixed grill you are after, there are better specimens to be had in cities all round the world... So all in all, not sure its worth the effort for anyone visiting Lima to make the effort to go to Panchita...

For people from London, it's a bit like eating at the Angus steakhouse, if you know what I mean...

When Panchita opened I didnt have high expectations. I was starting to believe that the Gaston brand was getting spread a bit thin with Tantas. Big surprise when i first ate here with a business birthday lunch. First of all they handled our large crowd of 30 as efficiently and rapidly as any restaurant in Lima. Pescados Capitales would be the only other restaurant that handles a big crowd as well. The menu choices are original and well thought out. I would recommend that any meal start with the anticuchos. The layout of the restaurant is warm and rich. Great place for a personal or business conversation with world-class waiters and attention.

This is another of Gaston Acurio's restaurants. It's lovely and modern. The prices are affordable. It will neither change your life nor disapoint.

Excellent food - throughout the menu. The ribs are fairly special. Attractive, modern restaurant with a nice atmosphere. You can bring your own wine (for a corkage fee) which brings down costs. One of Gaston's many restaurants - so you know it is going to be top quality and this restaurant does not disappoint.
