The restaurant is small but Mr Wong's show is amazing!
Only he attends form 12-3pm monday to friday.
Tiradito and ceviche are the best in Lima
He prepares the food in front of you, the fish is big and completely
like was just take out form the water
he peel off the fish skin, mix all the ingredients and prepare the ceviche
he made another Chinese hot plates from the wok
There is no menu in this restaurant, it is the mood that Mr Wong awake and he prepares different plates everyday ( first time that I have not got a menu list). There was no menu but the plates were delicious!
An amazing experience in peru
Reservations is mandatory due to the small restaurant space

An experience of a life time. Restaurant is located in a residential area, no sign
(kind of hard to find). There are only few tables on a small terrace and you have to make reservations well ahead of time. There is no menu, no prices...so be little careful, nobody speaks english, and its open for lunch only. But you get a freshest, delicious food prepared right in front of you by famous chef. Great experience of a lifetime.

Chez Wong is like all amazing things in life, you have to fight for it. You can ONLY attend with a reservation and there are 35 seats available for lunch, no dinner. There is no menu, Javier Wong feeds you what he considers you ought to eat. The decor and the neighborhood are unique and have character.
But when chef Wong comes out with his knife in one hand and a gigantic flounder in the other magic happens and everything is worth your while. Ceviche, tiradito and a hot dish, all flounder based are divine, amazing, to die for.
Go to Chez Wong and experience Lima from the best of the best.

A good friend of mine decided to take me to have the "best cebiche in Lima". He had tried to make reservations a few times, but it was always full. At last we managed to secure a place. Dont expect much, it's just the house of the chef in which he's implemented a small kitchen and placed some tables. But... you don't supposedly go for the decor! On the plus side the chef prepared everything almost in front of you using fresh ingredients and it really is a sight to behold, He prepares everything with lenguado (Flounder) and if there isn't any in the market he simply closes for the day. There is no menu either.
We had a cebiche of lenguado an pulpo which was ok - just about. A bit too acid for me, however what it lacked in depth of flavor it made up in freshness. Our main was a tremendous disappointment, a hot stir fry of sort with fish and Chinese mushrooms.
We paid the bill (prepared to be shocked when you get it) and left. A few minutes later started to feel sick and ended up with fever and a messed up stomach for the next 2-3 days. When commenting this to others most were surprised but a few said they also fared the same way. So, be careful.
