i was recommended this resturant in where i was staying in miraflores . my self and 2 peruvian friends took a taxi to lince lima for this restaurant .. my 2 friends entered the restuarant and as i was to go in the person on the door said you cant go in. looking at my clothes .. i had shorts and a top on ,, my peruvian friends were furious with this as there were other peruvians in the resturant with shorts and tops on .. after all it is summer , my friends spoke with the management who offered no solution or compassion .. after speaking to the local authorities it seems this can only be discrimination or racism to my english culture .. i hope this never ocurs again but tourists you are now awhere of this restuarants policy

The name in English of this restaurant is "the place you do not know of", but certainly, many locals do and appreciate. Located in Av. Bernardo Alcedo 363, Lince, Lima, it is a medium sized locale, with 2 floors and a bar, which opens only for lunch, between 12:30 pm. and 5 pm.daily.
The main fare is creole food, with typical dishes at a bit high prices. I had eaten there before, and had a wonderful lunch.
This time, the food was more expensive and the dishes though well prepared, were meager in content and not the best cut--I ordered clean roasted meat stew and it came with a lot of bone and fat.
Still, a picturesque locale worth visiting for typical food. Just be prepared to pay cash in soles, as they do not accept credit cards nor traveler's checks. They will take dollar bills, but a very low exchange rate.

I had the Rocoto Relleno for entre and the Aji de Gallina for the main. I barely managed to squeeze in a shared plate of Picarones and washed it all down with a litre of the best Sangria. Absolutely nothing could be faulted with this top class restaurant. The food was to die for, the service impeccable and the place could be no cleaner. We can't wait to return!
