Business dinner for 12. Carpaccio of beef followed by corvina excellent. Accompanied by a good Malbec. Service in Peru is always a little slow by anglo standards, but if one relaxes it adds to the enjoyment of the meal. It is always gracious and helpful and the waitors have a sense of humour, but non Spanish speakers might find it a little difficult to understand. Atmospere is delightful as it is in a hotel built in the Spanish colonial style nearly a century ago.

They are constantly changing the menu and every time is great. The food is very good and wines are also very good. A big collection for maridage with the food.

Friday lunch. A few tables occupied. But it takes 10 minutes between being given the menu and getting a waiter to aproach the table.
And so it goes on. The aperitif is served a f t e r having the starter - a perfect tiradito - on the table. The glass of wine is served when I have almost eaten my main course - salmon medallon which is very tasty!.
So with a bit quicker connection between bar and restaurant - this place would be perfect.
I guess the extra splash of Courvouisier was to ask forgiveness for the strange service.
So - food brilliant! Service - uneven.

It is a good hotel restaurant, the service personnel was very attentive since the moment we arrived. They even asked us if we were staying for dinner or tea time as it would run until 8 pm, and it was around 7.
As we sat for dinner service, they promptly served the bread and water, and they opened the bottle of wine we requested.
As my mother could not eat seafood and we wanted a hot appetizer to share, they even gave us the bar menu which has different plates which we could share, so we did.
For the main course the menu was big but not as big as many restaurants in the city. We ordered the duck and the porc.
The duck was cooked to the temp requested, sauce was good, but the caramelized onions it comes with were just too much, and the gratin was bland. In general it was average.
The porc was very tender, but it had some dry spots. Also the sweet potatoes it comes with were good, but the passion fruit sauce they come with was just too overwhelming.
It was a great effort to do some Peruvian fusion with french cuisine as the plates look very classic, but I think they just tried to put too much on the plate. If the food had been outstanding it would have been a good value for money, but this time it was not worth paying that much for what we got.
The dessert was the best part, we order the meringue with chirimoya and 2 sorbets, which was light fresh and very good.
I guess next time I come around I might order something more simple, maybe is very good as many others say. But this time is was just average.

Went here few nights ago to check it out as I was staying in Los Delfines, right in front of the Country Club. I found the food and service were average and the bill was expensive for what it was...I'm not saying is bad or anything, but pricey and there are much better options to dine in Lima.
