Yes, it is a buffet, but supposedly a world record holding buffet for the greatest variety offered. Situated just off the water on the coast of Lima, Costa Verde offers a bright setting with an ocean breeze and excellent Peruvian dishes. For tourists or business travelers in Lima on a Sunday, this is the place to be as the buffet expands and live entertainment showcases Peruvian dancers.

Excellent Pisco Sours, excellent food all the way around. For me, this is a must visit restaurant in Lima for a great introduction to the wide variety of Peruvian food in a great atmosphere.

It was our last day in Peru and we had just been walking along the seafront and thought this place looked nice from the outside - and it was! - It sits out in the sea - the Pacific Ocean - so perfect setting!!!

There was a buffet and i would say it was most enjoyable - A big spread and i had my first try of ceviche here - and although i cant compare it with any other ceviches - it was certainly ok!!!!!as for the buffet - could not fault it and am very surprised at all the negatives reviews on this - I am not a picky eater but i like good food!! and there was certainly nothing bad the day we were there!!

Would we got back - most definitely YES!

Fantastic setting!! Staff first class!! Lovely Pisco Sour ;-)

The view of the Pacific Ocean resembles a cruise. Food is nice, seats confortable. Service is slow and the music, ballads, are just not for eating.

Friendly greeting, two waiters, seemed to be fighting over taking the order. Seemed to have runout of the lower priced bottled of wine, only had the very expensive available. Starters came very fast, had 5 people waiting on us, for a party of five, constantly butting in, not allowing us to talk. Taking the starters away before we were even done eating, felt rushed. then the food came very fast. Not impressed at all, it was all bland, not what we expected. $18 for a Ceasar salad!.
Over all we paid $54 a person for starters, main course and 2 bottles of wine. The worst came after we paid the bill, the service charched was included and they solicited extra tip, for the staff. The waiter insisted it wasn't included for the kitchen staff, etc. That is outrageous that a waiter would solicit additional tip and on top of that gave us attitude. Defenitelly would not recomend this place which seems like a Tourist Trap.
