We went out for dinner that night determined to sample ceviche! This was a simple cool restaurant - more pub style than fancy restaurant, quite relaxed. It had high ceilings and wooden booths, and from floor to ceiling there are posters, newspapers, pictures, football shirts, flags etc etc etc on the walls and on the beams. Lots of typically Peruvian things on the menu, we had a drink made from corn, and then the main event - ceviche mixto. I really enjoyed - very fresh and zingy with lime, served with sweet potato to counter the zinginess.

We love eating here, at least twice a month. This place gets packed during lunch hour - you might have to wait for at least 30minutes if you arrive around 1pm. Order the shrimp in garlic-butter sauce, classic ceviche, fried calamari, fish with anticucho sauce.

This little place is very crowded and busy. The decor is fun and just as crowded, providing lots of reading material.
Order the ceviche, that's what they do best! Have a local beer with it and enjoy the hustle and bustle.

We had dinner in this small restaurant. It was suggested to us by our host.

We didn't like it very much and it was not very cheap.
The room was filled with strong cooking smells.

Portions are really big.

Eclectic decor in an old building. High ceilings, plastered with soccer memorabilia. Quite large and popular but quiet often at night. Been around for very long time.
Food is typical peruvians with none of the new fusion style. That means well cooked, fresh ingredients, large portions, hearty rather than delicate, flavor. Large menu. Friendly old style waiter when we go.
It's a simple place to go with a group of friends or slip in as a couple. Fun. Ok value in part because the portions are large and you can share plates.
