I am 60 and I travelled with a friend who is 68 and we had a great time. It was quiet and gave excellent value for money. I would be happy to pay more and have a bit better quality food. The staff were very good and polite especially to the English who were noticeably politer than the Russians.

My friends and I stayed here one night before and one night after a surfing trip to northern Peru. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. An outstandingly unselfish and helpful act occured when I accidentally left my passport in the hotel upon checking out to return to the US. Upon discovery of my passport, and without request or payment, the hotel staff shuttled my passport to a car rental agency where they thought I might be. Additionally, they instructed the driver to deliver the passport to the airport if he missed me at the car rental agency. This act of kindness was unsolicited and is typical of Hotel Nirvana's warm and helpful staff.

Room Tip: The rooms away from the highway, in the back, are quieter. Breakfast is excellent.

For the price, there are two minor issues, the rest was great. First, while not far, you are on the outskirts of the hub of activity in Miraflores (shops, restaurants, views of the ocean). You walk across a bridge and traffic, then maybe another 10 minutes. And two, Wi-fi is very weak in the rooms and still weak in the lobby.

The staff were friendly, they helped me with my Spanish and were attentive. The rooms were clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was nice. It is located right next to a freeway and my room was on the freeway side, but I had no issue with noise.

I stayed for 3 nights and during the day walked around Miraflores. While walking I priced some other 3-star hotels. I agree with 67RichardD, friendly hotel, but could be cheaper.

This Hotel is situated out of town but still in Miraflores (about 15 min walk to city centre) Is run but a totally disfuncional family, but happy one at that. Staff are very very friendly indeed, and very helpfull. Its family run with all family problems and they inite you as extended family. You can use their kitchen to store food you have brought in from outside, and make yourself Tea coffee or Chocolate 24hrs a day. Free Internet in the extended non cooking kitchen. Rooms very clean but they often suffer from bad plumbing. No lifts even though there are 5 floors. Although situated on the edge of the express way I personally didnt hear too much noise the first time I stayed there at the front of the building. The Kitchen itself is what only can be described as a hygeine nightmare! However the cook makes meals for one that would feed an army! tastefull too. If you dont want her food you can send out for some to local places, pizza / Chinese etc or go and bring in hot food, they dont mind if you use their plates etc. There is a swimming pool in the garden. Breakfast is whatever they get fresh at local market, and freshly sqeezed Juices, depends on what they get. Best Bread rolls in South America, just like Paris!!! Also for breakfast, sometimes freshy avacodes, or cheeses, or fruit compote, it just depends on what they get. Coffee (and I'm a strong coffee drinker) I had to water it down as its like treacle!!! Pleanty of breads and jam available but the staff make breakfast chaotic as no guidence. Saying that they will endovour to get you what you want, however "Real Ordinary Tea" seems to be a nightmare for them to get to grasp with, even through it is there. Bar available, but just Beer or wine, which is average price of other bars. The Bar is in the garden and is just like having a drink in your own back garden. Nice place to stay, but it is slightly on the expensive side of things for the rooms you actually get. I stayed there 3 times actually, (due to fact of missing my flight because of traffic) and each time welcomed back like a long lost Son. Would recomend it.

Room Tip: Its pot luck what is available, as it does get very busy (about 40 rooms) at the back you have the p...

As I arrived in Lima with no planning at all I asked my taxi driver to recommend a hotel for me in Miraflores. While the price was okay, the location wasn't ideal as it was quite far from Parque Miraflores and parallel to the always busy Paseo de la Republica.

The saving grace was that the reception staff were very pleasant and efforts to accommodate my English and horrible Spanish. My room was clean and a decent enough, but the single pane windows did not buffer the traffic noise.

Breakfast included the typical bread, jam, eggs, coffee, and juice.

A taxi driver bought us to nirvana on our first night in Peru and we are lucky he did.
The staff are so helpful and friendly and speak great English! The prices are very fair and the hotel owner is an expert on tours and prices for travelling and you can really trust his advice. It feels like the hotel will go out of their way to help you which was amazing for us as we are travelling alone here for the first time and were absolutely clueless to begin with. A fab choice for our first stop.

A friend of mine recommended me to this hotel…All I have to say is thank God. My husband and I stayed in Lima for 10 days and we were treated as family at Hotel Nirvana. The hotel has a beautiful pool, a pleasant garden to relax and enjoy a meal and a staff like no other. They were friendly and very helpful. It was our first time visiting Peru so we did not know much about how to get around (even thou we did our research before traveling) but, the receptionists and the son’s owner, Paco, made sure to direct us in the right way. During our travels in Peru we went up North, to Mancora, where we were able to enjoy some gorgeous beaches, surfing and boating. Luckily we were able to stay at another hotel owned by the same owners of hotel Nirvana. Now this was paradise!! The hotel is located right in front of the beach and it is secluded. My husband and I were able to relax by the ocean and treat ourselves to the natural mud baths. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to travel to Peru. By the way try to make reservations this way you get a better deal.
