“great hotel but lacks sufficient soundproofing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

This is a great hotel but considering it is fairly new more should have been spent on soundproofing. Doors that inconsiderate guests tend to slam because of their design will be slammed - all night! Talking from neighbouring rooms can be heard clearly as can the screaming child in the middle of both nights! Cars roaring up the streets add to the general problem, and we were on the sixth floor. Even though I sound very negative about the hotel I did actually like the rest of it - just a shame it was not designed with light sleepers in mind. The reception area and staff were excellent, as were all the staff we dealt with. The breakfast is also excellent and it has a lovely cafe area as well as the bar. Did not have opportunity to use the pool area but I would expect that to be equally as good.

Room Tip: May be difficult to get a quiet room but try rooms higher up as they might reduce traffic noise.

Lima is a city of contrasts, on the one hand I saw a rapidly growing city, and on the other hand, travelers can visit the colonial side of the town.
The hotel has a colorful atmosphere in the lobby ,,, is not huge as U.S. hotels, but the service staff is to highlight it.
Great bartenders, the two gentlemen in concierge are the heart of the hotel, the room windows are panoramic although the bathroom was small.
Do not forget to visit the Samua Cafe, this is very picturesque and is located on the first level.

Taxis in the street has no meter, this is something that me and my wife we did not understand, every passenger has to negotiate and haggle the rate, but we finally had a safe stay.

We stayed at the top (18th floor) in a presidential suite with a view of the ocean. It was pure luxury - a separate room for dining table, a breakfast bar, sitting area, and a little bathroom. The sleeping quarters included a king size bed, desk, sitting area, and a bathroom with a sauna, jacuzzi, and walk in shower. I also checked out the third floor which includes a pool with a little cascading water wall. Miraflores is a great area; the hotel is within walking distance to Parque Kennedy and Pucllana Temple (Huaca Pucllana).

After 8 weeks on the road, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very comfortable and in a great location. Not quite as luxurious as we anticipated, but absolutely nothing to complain about. The restaurant was terrific (dinner and breakfast), and happy hour (for pisco sours) welcome. The best thing about the hotel however was the concierge, Jean-Peirre (I hope I have the name right). He gave excellent advice and service on restaurants (even how to eat at Astrid y Gaston without a reservation 2 months in advance) and on local services.

This is really a nice hotel, me and my friends were there for only two days but we had the best of impressions, staff friendly, fluffy beds, coffee they have is really tasty, although the city was very cold, for on this side of the world was about to begin the winter.

We just came back from Peru an stayed in Lima for 5 days. The hotel is conveniently located in Miraflores, one of the most touristic districts in Lima. It's walking distance to Parque Kennedy and Larcomar. It's also close to many of the wonderful restaurants Lima has to offer. The service at Hotel Casa Andina is wonderful. The staff is friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean, ample and comfortable. We were a group of 5 and one of the rooms was a triple bedroom. This was very spacious as well. Breakfast was included and it was buffet style and it was delicious. The staff at the restaurant was very courteous as well and very proactive. They were always taking care of us. They offer free wi-fi in all the rooms.

We stayed here on our first two nights in Peru. The room was lovely. Our only complaint was that breakfast was supposed to start at 5:30 am-- but as it did not start until 6 am- we were not able to have breakfast before our flight.
