Our expedition was the Camungo, which took us to the village of San Martin off of the Samiria River. The villagers were very friendly and interactive. The children were especially welcoming. We then went up the Samiria River. We got to see the untouched Amazon Rainforest. It was amazing. At the 2nd PV station we watched for many hours a pod (?) of pink dolphins fish and play around a floating island. It was almost magical. We saw many different types of monkeys, a few sloths, caiman, even a snake or two amongst many different types of animals. Saw beautiful foliage and even more beautiful birds. It was a great trip, and I will miss our companions and most of all the Amazon. I can't say enough about our trip.
