“Didn't live up to its reviews”
Reviewed November 20, 2011

Nice location but the food was just average and the service was downright terrible.

“Best in town!”
Reviewed November 9, 2011

Classiest place in Iquitos, this restaurant has an authentic French feel to it. Excellent menu, good wine list (especially considering you are in the heart of the Amazon) and attentive service. More expensive than other places in town, but well worth the extra. Gourmet!

“Good food, excellent service, beautiful decor. Worth a visit.”
Reviewed August 18, 2011

This restaurant is about 2 blocks from the main Plaza des Armes, an easy 5 minute walk along the Promenade that runs along the river. It doesn't yet have a sign out front, but the whole front portion of the building is open to view, and it's impossible to miss the perfectly restored 'turn of the century' wooden interior.

The food is good (believe it or not, they actually imported a French chef!), the service is excellent and the servers speak both Spanish and English, and the atmosphere is authentic French Bistro. The clientele is a bit more mature and generally better dressed than the usual Iquitos 'backpacker and 20-something-touring-the-world- crowd. The ambiance is pleasant, free from street vendors and street noise.

Prices are mid-range - not 'budget', but certainly not 'expensive' either. Entrees are between 20 and 40 soles (about US$8 to $13). This restaurant offers good value for the money. I'll go back, and I certainly recommend it to others.

“The best food in Iquitos!!!!”
Reviewed August 18, 2011

Marc had a dream... and he made it real !!!!
With the French Chef Guillaume, you will have a menu with the choice of many different French and Belgian food, with a quality you cannot find in other restaurants in Iquitos except at 'Dawn on the Amazon Café' (thanks to Bill).
This is a very young restaurant (open since April 2011) but with already the maturity of the best ones and open 7 days a week from 6am to 12pm or later on Fri/Sat.
And even if you are non-smoker (like me), you will love this place because you will meet a lot of interesting people... peruvian guys and gringos in the same place!
If you ban it from your list, you definitely loose something... be open-minded and let the smokers smoke... French restaurant does not mean French law!!!!
