“Delicious and affordable cuisine!”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

Cicciolina offers a wide variety of tapas, pastas, and other dishes that use Peruvian ingredients. Everything is perfectly prepared and presented and the service is excellent. This is the best restaurant in Cusco, in my view. We ate there twice during our short stay and probably would have gone back again, if we had the time.

“Fun and sophisticated Peruvian fusion”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

With hanging flowers and windowside eating nooks at the bar, eating at Cicciolina almost feels like being in the European countryside. We came here for a late lunch of tapas and starters and sat at the bar. We shared a large house selection of tapas, red trout ceviche, cuy causa, and bread with brie. Without exception, these were delicious and beautifully presented. I loved the colorful yellow and green layers of potato in the causa, and we were glad to try guinea pig (a confit topping the causa) without having to commit to an entire animal, as typically served on many menus. The appetizer portion of red trout ceviche was quite sizeable. Unlike the cup-size portions I’m used to getting in the U.S., the ceviche came in a large bowl, with probably as much fish as in an entrée portion at a nice restaurant. I would recommend sitting at the bar area, which has both the dining room menu and the tapas menu, so you’ll be able to sample from both. The service was excellent—our server checked on us throughout the meal and offered up menu clarifications where she thought something might have been lost in translation.

“Great for foodies”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

This is a lovely place, up the stairs from a plaza in an old colonial house. Our Peruvian relatives recommended it and also that we make reservations, and they were right on both counts. The dining room is small but very stylish, and there is a bar that serves the same food in a less formal setting, as well as lots of tapas. I had fish from the Amazon River - when will I get that chance again? It was delicious. The ambience and food combine to make you feel as though you're having a fine dining experience - and you are!

“GREAT PLACE TO EAT”
Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

We arrived early, only to find the restaurant was booked solid. So we found a table in the bar. We opted for the tapas and a nice Argentina Malbec, as recommended by our waiter. Food was excellent, wine was superb and the staff outstanding. Highly recommended.

“One of the best meals I have ever had”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

This restaurant is excellent. Atmosphere and staff are wonderful. The food is creative, interesting, and delectable. Cannot go wrong here. Went for a birthday dinner and then returned the next day for lunch. Between our group of eight we can vouch for 16 dishes or so. Go!
