“Very friendly staff!”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

+
This hostel is nearby the main plaza
The beds are good
The bathrooms/toilets are always clean
The staff is very friendly/helpful and give you a welcome feeling (except the man in the night)
Nice music in the common area
Video / Pool / Pingpong facilities
Super cute cat!

-
The breakfast that is included isn't that good (dry bread, butter, jam, coffee/tea, juice from a package), but you can order extra's for a fee
There's not a nice place to sit/eat outside (in the sun)
They don't have red wine :-)

Definitely one of the best hostels in Cusco!
I've stayed in Cusco for three weeks and tried out three different hostels. Came back to this one three times cause it's so good!
This hostel stands right in the middle between party hostels and regular hostels.
What I like about it is that it's really close to the Plaza, where all the parties are and also really close to the wild rover, where you warm up before the parties.
Then, if you wanna go to sleep early, the place is quiet enough to get in bed, but if you wanna have a good drink and a good time, there's a nice bar, always with a good atmosphere!
The staff is also really nice :)
I just like this place. It feels like home to me.
Enjoy Cusco!

it was too cold in this Hostel, there are no windows. You have to cross the whole Hostel to go to the showers which had warm water but after leaving the shower the freezing cold came back. The most of the staff were really friendly. The Woman in Charge was just friendly to Guests from Hostelworld cause of the reviews. The Prices for the Bar were far to expensive and for the paid BBQ the Food was really poor.
This Hostel was really clean and the Beds were really comfortable. There are for sure warmer Hostels in Cuzco!!

This hostel is a old colonial home, which meant it was nice but freezing. Sometimes I went outside to get warm..and fresh air. We arrived while they were doing construction in the back of the hostel, right where you have to go to shower and use the main bathrooms. It was often dusty and uncomfortable walking to the showers with a bunch of construction workers around the door. They also had a family of cats living there that often tried to sneak into the rooms. I also used there laundry services and notices that a few articles of clothing did not get returned to me. The price was cheap; however and I bet that if I had arrived when the construction was over I would have enjoyed it more. The staff were nice and the house has a bar, a pool table and ping pong table along with decent breakfasts.

I moved hostels halfway through my Cusco holiday as this one was cheaper and the reviews seemed good. However I wished I hadn't moved. There were no people staying there so there was no one to talk to - important when on your own, the showers were luke warm at best, and even though there were extra breakfast options to pay for they either didn't have the food available or the chef wasn't working - surely you would have the chef around on a Sunday morning! Don't stay here if you want somewhere to hang out at.

We stayed here before and after our trip to Machu Pichu. Both times it was just ok. The basics are fine, clean enough, beds are fine, staff was a little distant, but ok. Breakfast is on the skimpy side. The building itself was always cold inside, and it was hard to find a place with good internet that wasn't full of really loud music and/or cigarette smoke. It wasn't that there was a party going on, they just blasted top 40 all day long. Next time I would try some place different.

Our family of four stayed here for 4 nights. They were very friendly and helpful. We also booked our trip to Macchu Picchu through their travel agency. We were very please with the trip and the price. We shared a room with 2 bunk beds which was right across from the bathrooms. The beds were really comfortable. Although it was a room on the first floor near the gathering area it was fairly quiet at night, but in places like these it's always good to bring ear plugs. The bathrooms were cleaned daily and the staff was always very responsive to our questions and needs. Our daughter actually got sick on our last day there and the staff called a local clinic that does "house visits". It cost us about $50 but it was worth it as we were traveling the next day and were able to get her some antibiotics. Although we had checked out of our room the staff let her sleep in an extra bunk upstairs. We were very grateful for this. They also had lots of social things going on although we didn't do many of them as we were pretty tired at night. If you are open to meeting new people and sharing a bathroom this is a very friendly, clean, and organized hostel. We'd stay there again.
