hotel stays heated when the weather is cold. i stayed in march. the hotel is across the street from the very large open air mercado . the streets are a little run down. there is no elevator. the breakfast was scrambled eggs . the staff were friendly . the room had a nice flat screen tv with cable movies. my room had a great shower . always hot water. i was very happy to stay at the antares mystic hotel. for the price i will stay there again.

Room Tip: street side rooms can be noisy until around 9pm.

This hotel is close to the city centre and. Next to San Pedro market. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and a good size. I would recommend this hotel to backpackers wanting to be in a good location to see the town. They are helpful with looking after your kit if you are walking the Inca Trail

Room Tip: Any are reasonable

Hotel is located in the heart of the Historic downtown Cusco, and everything is walking distance.

We stayed here 7 nights, 3 before Machu Picchu, and 4 after. We loved the food, and the rooftop views. The ladies were so nice and understanding of our obvious language barrier. My girlfriend and I highly recommend it! Also, it's right in the center of town, so be smart about which room you pick, or you'll hear the busy street. Don't let that deter you, though. We are so glad we stayed there!

When our trip started we had a lot of things that we needed to change: our rail ticket timings, we needed to buy our MP entrance and bus tickets & even we needed to cancel one night at this hotel. Rita was helpful for each one of these items. She arranged a taxi for us to go to the Peru real ticket office in Wanchaq. She helped change our second nights stay from this hotel to their sister hotel in Aguascalientes. She was able to call the travel agency based here in Cuzco to get us our entrance tickets and bus tickets. When we were leaving for Ollantaytambo she even had breakfast arranged for us before 5 AM which is there typical breakfast time. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for us and she didn't know happily and with a smile. I would hands-down say about this hotel is one of the best because of staff like Rita. For the hotel in general it's the perfect intersection of cost-effectiveness and cleanliness. You should stay here most probably.

From picking us up at the airport to our final goodbye hugs, our experience was extremely pleasant. The staff (Alicia, Eleana and Rita) was not only delightful, but helpful. We had some mishaps with the airline, for example, and they guided us to the right people. Also with money exchanges, tickets for Machu Picchu, getting cabs, etc. The location was perfect for experiencing the local flavor, and the rooftop view of the city was an unexpected plus. Our room was cozy and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel for the budget-minded traveler.

Room Tip: We stayed in 2 different rooms, (before and after travelling to Machu Picchu). Both were fine, but...

I wouldn't say it was the best place I've ever stayed but it was certainly good value, good location, friendly staff. We had a quiet internal room. Towels and bedding a bit shoddy but all clean. Small double bed but comfy. Breakfast not great. Stale bread and jam and 1 egg scrambled, but we ate it anyway....got charged $10 at checkout for airport pick up which I thought had been advertised as free. As cost back to airport was 12 soles I was a bit disappointed at this.
