Casa andina hotel was a nice hotel , but our room seemed to be off a very busy passage way and a lot of noise of people talking and suitcases being moved kept us awake. Nice to have an electric kettle in our room , which was welcome as wasn't the case in any prior. Needed to open the window to get fresh air ,as found it hard to breath at times with lower oxygen. Found it much easier to breath outside than inside hotels.
Restaurant we found overall was rather dingy.
Staff friendly and accommodating.

This is a lovely hotel quite near the centre of Cusco. Public rooms are lovely and breakfast is very good. The restaurant is good for dinner although a little pricey. Staff are excellent. If possible, book a suite. These rooms are very spacious. Rooms by the road can be noisy because of regular traffic.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the side road.

Stayed for three nights in October. Hotel very fitting with surrounding area. Rooms built round courtyard with lots of little niches with seating to relax in. Room was large with comfortable king size bed. Although a bit cold due to the altitude, there was a heater and we did use it. No wifi in hotel but who needs wifi in such a beautiful place with so much to see! Breakfast was adequate and although we were too late to try the tapas and wine offer in the bar, we enjoyed a fine bottle of wine and a snack there on returning late from sightseeing. Hotel is a short walk to centre if Cusco where there are lots of restaurants. Only wish that we had more time to explore Cusco ourselves as all our time was taken up on tours. However also wish we had time to see more of the Inca sites. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

This hotel is very well located on a busy street, within easy walking distance to the main square, cathedral, shopping, and pretty good restaurants. The property has a definite colonial feel with tiled floors and super thick walls in the lobby, a cobblestone courtyard, and a colorful dining area. They did provide free wifi, but the thick walls made it impossible to get a signal in our guest room, so we had to sit in the lobby area to get online. The room is clean and the beds comfortable, but the window and ventilation situation is not ideal. There was no AC, so to get any fresh air or feel cool at night, we had to open the sliding window which is at the front of the room, on the corridor, right next to the door to the room. I kept thinking that an enterprising intruder could easily reach in and open the door from the inside without much trouble. Also the hotel layout is somewhat confusing so it could be an adventure trying to find your way back to your room. Otherwise this hotel is not a bad choice. The price was reasonable and the breakfast was pretty decent. The shower had great water pressure, and this may not seem like a big deal, but they provided the best shower caps I've ever got at a hotel ... large enough to accommodate my long hair, and made of pretty substantial material. (I brought a couple of them home with me). I also liked that there were several English TV choices. There is also a nice bar that serves tapas and pisco sours for $15 at 5 pm. It's not super fancy, but nice enough, and the people at the hotel were great.

As long as you specify a room with real windows (verses no windows except in the door) the rooms are quite nice and so is the facility. The downside is the walls are very thin and you can hear people speaking outside your room quite well (not to mention people using their 'facilities' in the rooms next door. Trust me, hearing someone urinate in the adjoining room is not all that pleasant.

Room Tip: Ear plus and a room with a view of a courtyard.

The hotel is in an old Spanish colonial building. Good location for seeing Cusco. However, we arrived late at night and they put us in a room over looking the court yard where the restaurant and bar open on. Do not accept one of those rooms. Because the building is old, there is little sound proofing and so we were entertained by people drinking, talking and laughing in the courtyard late at night. Not their fault, that is what a bar is for. By the time we realized that our room was going to be noisy, we had unpacked and spread out so moving rooms becomes a great hassle.
We only ate the breakfast buffet at the hotel, so can't comment on the dinner or lunch food. The breakfast was average, nothing bad or good.
The front desk staff were not the most friendly or welcoming. Very perfunctory. When we checked out, they asked "how was your stay?". I told them that our room was somewhat noisy. They wanted to know if I complained. I told them no I did not, but since they worked there, they knew the room was noisy so they should only put guests in those rooms as a last resort when the hotel is sold out, which in our case it was not. So I am partly to blame, but the front desk staff is equally to blame. It just shows in the level of service received. We liked the location, but there are probably other hotels with locations just as good and maybe better service. However, it should be noted that the other staff, such as bellmen, housekeepers, waiters, were very friendly and quite helpful.
The rooms were large and well appointed and the colonial building was attractive and the hotel is located on a small square with various shops around.
We didn't dislike the hotel, just make sure you get a room of the main courtyard and don't expect to much from the front desk staff.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms that overlook the main courtyard

The Casa Andina Private Collection in Cuzco is a lovely hotel with a very caring staff. The room was large; the breakfast (included) was tasty, fresh and generous; and the staff were accomodating in every way. The bellman even gave us his cell phone number incase we ran into trouble or got lost in the city! The location is perfect - steps from on eof the main sites and only a few more steps from the Plaza de Armas. There were many good restaurants nearby.
