“Decent Price - But not a fan of the bugs!”

The price, location and service at this hotel are good enough. However, the cleaning crew could use a refresher course. My husband and I went to sleep with no bug bites, but woke to lots! We had welts and bumps everywhere! *Keep in mind this was our first night of vacation! Inspect your bed!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing Casa Andina as part of your experience in Cusco.

We wish to take this opportunity to mention that we have recently fumigated the hotel according to schedule and that we have inspected the beds, but have not found any insects or bugs. Perhaps you left one of the windows opened and a mosquito got into de room.

We appreciate your comments and the time you set aside to write this review on Trip Advisor´s website. Hoping to have you with us again at any of our properties in Peru in a not too distant future.

Cordially yours,
The Casa Andina team

We were supposed to stay at one of the other Casa Andina properties called Casa Andina Cusco Plaza. However, they had overbooked & we were sent to the Casa Andina San Blas. San Blas was a few blocks from the Plaza & was much quieter. Subsequently, we really enjoyed the Casa Andina San Blas due to its location...off the main square. Continental breakfast was incredible! Loved it! The hotel offered for us to stay at Casa Andina Cusco Plaza later in our trip but we chose to stay at San Blas. Staff was extremely helpful & very nice. If we go back to Cusco, we'd stay at the Casa Andina San Blas again!

Grounds are beautiful. Location is an uphill walk from the center of the city which is a bit of a disadvantage if you are adjusting to altitude.

Rooms are a bit outdated and our bathroom had an odd smell.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sharing your comments with thousands of travelers that visit Trip Advisor´s website.

Certainly, this hotel is located in the heart of San Blas, Cusco´s hilliest & artiest neighborhood, just 1 block from its main square and still only 3 blocks from Cusco´s Plaza de Armas. We regret if we did not meet your travel needs during this stay.

We appreciate the opportunity you give us to improve and invite you to stay at any of our hotels throughout Peru.

Cordially yours,
The Casa Andina team

This is a very nice hotel, with a great staff. The rooms are very comfortable and we found the hotel to be very quiet and easy to get a good night's sleep. The staff was very helpful and very prompt with each request.

The hotel is located a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas so it is easy to get to and from all the sights, shops and restaurants. The hotel does have a restaurant, but we only ate breakfasts there, which was fine.

Stayed at San Blas for two nights on our way into Machu Picchu, and one more night on our way back. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, with several attractions very close by (San Blas Church and Square, Artisan shops, etc), it made for a very comfortable stay. A good no-frills breakfast, and very kind and helpful staff, always willing to give you good tips about where to eat or find different stuff.
Only about four blocks away from Cusco's main square, which makes it walking distance to every attraction and restaurant, but far enough to be away from the traffic noise and hustle, but be ready for a good uphill walk on your way back!

Casa Andina San Blas is a lovely hotel, great location, good rooms, and a beautiful courtyard. The best part of all is the staff - our bags were delayed arriving in Peru, and the hotel staff spent countless hours on the phone with Delta, American Airlines, LAN, and the Cusco and Lima airports to try to track them down. It took 5 days, but without the Casa Andina people on our team (we don't speak much Spanish), I'm not sure we would have ever got them back.

Only downsides: very low water pressure in the showers and toilets are a little dodgy.

We stayed at the Casa Andina San Blas Hotel. Service and friendliness and warmth were all wonderful. The staff was helpful and welcomed us back for our second stay following a trip to Machu Picchu. I felt almost like I was back home again! Our first room (3rd floor) was nicer (a bit larger, with a larger bathroom and newer fixtures and furniture). Our second room (1st floor) was smaller and a bit more tired.
