“Best Value in Cusco!”
Reviewed May 17, 2010

We stayed at the Terra Andina for a total of four nights, before and after our Machu Picchu trek. The rooms were spotless, the staff friendly and courteous, and even the restaurant was outstanding. While the room rate was about 1/2 to 1/4 of other Cusco hotels, we received 4 star attention and service! Probably the best hotel for the money in Cusco.

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The location is great - just 10 min walk from Plaza de Armas. The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was complimentary. The breakfast is complimentary as well - and has a good spread. The cook will make hot omlettes for you, and there are juices, cereal, and breads as well. The hotel staff is very friendly and always has a smile on their faces. The staff was very courteous and helpful - and understand a fair bit of English. Rooms are very clean and have TV and hot water.

I loved my stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

Honestly, this hotel was at the lower end of the price scale so I did not expect much; however, I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel had the best service I have had in a long time. We arrived out of breath from the airport, and instead of having us stand at the lobby counter to check in, took us into the lounge to sit and have coca tea as we completed the paperwork. Orlando was wonderful. He brought oxygen to the room for a friend that was feeling sick, and reassured her that she would be ok. The next day when he noticed she had not been to breakfast, he called the room to check that she was ok, and brought her breakfast to the room. The entire staff continually went above and beyond what would typically be expected (EXAMPLE: I had to leave for the train but needed stamps to mail postcards and so one of the staff went to the post office for me). They bought our entrance and bus tickets to Machu Picchu and arranged for a van to take us to the point we were getting on the train. Our trip to Machu Picchu was much smoother because of them. Location was wonderful, a short walk to the Main Plaza. Food was amazing. The hotel was beautiful with the character you expect to see in a location like this. When I go back to Cusco, I will definitely be staying at the Terra Andina again.

Our family loved this hotel. The staff was always so kind and helpful, they attended to all of our needs, within or outside of the hotel. Every day we left the hotel, and everytime we came back it was just as clean as when we checked in. We can't wait to come back to Cuzco and stay at Terra Andina.

Just returned from a trip to Machu Picchu where we stayed in Cuzco to get accustomed to the altitude. It turns out that Cuzco is actually much higher than Machu Picchu. Our tour booked us at this hotel Terra Andina. From the minute we got there, we were made to feel welcomed by Marcelino, and the other hotel staff. They were more then hospitable. The rooms were clean and spacious, but you should expect a small bathroom. Everything was ready when we arrived. We stayed three to a room and were able to sleep well and able to move about inside without bumping into each other. Our room did not have a view, Stay away from the rooms that face onto the lobby area as other travelers are not quiet during their breakfast routines. The breakfast was wonderful, with plenty to select, including fruits, yogurt, eggs, meats, cheeses and breads. The staff makes sure there is plenty of coca tea which you need to take throughout your stay due to the altitude. The hotel is a good half mile from the very center of the Cathedral of Cuzco, but nearby is their local market, which allows you to really see how the people eat, live and work. If you want a very authentic experience, go into the market and check out the stalls. I would return to this hotel. They have a computer in the Lobby which they permit their guests to use.

WE stayed here for three nights and dont have any real complaints about the place. The booking was through a travel agent so we arent sure about value for money but we were satisifed for our purposes. The staff were very friendly and helpful which was a real highlight of our stay. They provided free flow of mate d coca to cope with altitude sickness which was great!
