This hotel is really a two star and not a three star hotel. The walls are so thin you can hear the people talking in the couch area (if you have normal heating). The breakfast is really simple and if you can you should avoid having dinner here. They don't have an ATM-machine. The transfer to the hotel from the airport is included but not back to the airport, which is little bit weird.

A member of the Terra Andina staff met us at the airport and was extremely helpful while we tried to track down our lost luggage. Not a great start to our trip, but this would have been much more frustrating because of the language difference if Ivan wasn't there to help.
Next, upon arriving at the hotel, we sat and relaxed with some coca tea to help acclimate to the high altitude in Cusco while they checked us in to our rooms. Further, we met the manager who, upon learning of our missing luggage, began calling people he knows at the airline to help track down our luggage. The manager and rest of the staff continued helping us with our luggage after we were all settled in our rooms. They were able to confirm our luggage was still in Lima. The airline, LAN, was far less efficient and helpful that the Terra Andina staff. So the result was our luggage stayed in Lima for another day. So without all our clothes, shoes, etc., the staff provided suggestions for things to see and do in Cusco, including some affordable choices for clothing essentials. They also helped with directions to Greens, a restaurant where we needed to meet with our hiking group.
The next morning, still without our luggage thanks to LAN's inability to effectively communicate between Cusco and Lima, we checked out to begin our hike. At this point, the staff at Terra Andina worked closely with our hike group, Mountain Lodges of Peru, to let them know once our luggage did get to Terra Andina.
Although our concerns for our luggage & hiking supplies meant we did not visit the area's ruins, the management and staff of Terra Andina were so helpful and cooperative that we don't feel those first days were spoiled.
We returned to Terra Andina when our hike concluded back in Cusco. It was like visiting friends.
My only unfavorable comment pertains to how easily sound travels and therefore, the rooms can be a little noisy. Some louder noises from outside the hotel can be heard through the bathroom vents. After talking with folks that stayed in other hotels, we learned that is fairly common in Cusco.
All in all, I found Terra Andina to be a great value, conveniently located to the Plaza (main square), with an outstanding, professional, helpful staff.

What a wonderful experience we had with the Terra Andina. We were picked up at the airport, where they allowed us to take it ease while the staff booked us. And rest we needed because of the altitude. The rooms (2) was the next surprise, very roomy, clean, quiet and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was very tasty and, of course they offered coca tea for the altitude.
Finally the staff was amazing. They not only tendered to our needs, but they were truly happy with serving us.

The hotel and its employees made our trip to Cusco an unforgettable experience.

Room Tip: We had a couple of single and two doubles. Both were great!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this quaint hotel. Our initial experience with staff was superb. TACA airlines had left our entire plane's luggage in Lima, leaving us with a long wait at the airport. The hotel supervisor waited with us (with a free transport to the hotel), and ensured our trip got off to a good start. The room was quite small and we found it warm. There was no ac but a heater was present. It was a little hard to acclimitize within the room, so we tried to wander as much as possible. The breakfast was great, with toasts, pastries, cereals, yogurts, lots of fruits, bacon, eggs, etc..., and beginning at 5am. We were able to leave our luggage while hiking the Inca Trail, and felt very secure in doing so. We came back very late after the hike to find our luggage in an upgraded room. It was a king sized bed, with much more space. We paid around $70 per night which was truly unbeatable.

In our recent visit to Peru we stayed in this hotel and it was very good. We are a family of 4 and got a room on the second floor. The room was really for 3 people but they put an extra bed on what seems to be a kind of living room. Everything was ok except that were this extra bed was got light from the corridor during the evening because the door was with glass. The restaurant of the hotel offered delicious food and great service. We would recommend this place withour hesitation. The location was good, close the historic center.

It's been several months since I stayed at this hotel, and am embarrassed I'm just getting around to writing this rave review for them. The hotel was as everyone else has described it. Clean, comfortable, well priced, great location, etc. But what I'd most want to praise is the staff! My poor sister got pretty sick with altitude sickness and the staff was nothing, but helpful. One of the front desk people went to the local pharmacy for us and brought back exactly what she needed in the middle of the night. Not to mention how concerned the manager seemed. Just wanting to make sure she was going to be alright, bringing us tea when she needed it and keeping her hydrated. The altitude sickness was a terrible experience, but the service the staff at Terra Andina provided was more than amazing! I am recommending this hotel to some of my friends who are going to be visiting soon.

Thanks again Terra Andina!
