This hotel is very clean and quiet which I liked. The location is good. It is a short walk to the main square. They only take cash and not credit cards and I was not aware of this before our stay. The rooms have space heaters which worked and made the rooms warm once you got it warmed up. The common areas of the hotel were REALLY COLD. There was a fireplace in the lobby, but they never had a fire going during our stay. The wifi worked for about half of our stay there. The safe in our room didn't work, but they did have a safe we could use at the front desk area. They didn't have hair dryers or hand towels or wash clothes. Our room had a double bed. In the future I will look for a place that at least has a queen because we don't sleep well on a double. My husband is taller than the bed. I wasn't impressed with the breakfast. There was only some bread, jam and other spreads. Sometimes there was a plate of fruit, but it was sparse and I had to ask for it on our second morning there. I took a cup of tea to my room and when they cleaned the room, they didn't take clear the cup and saucer. Some of the hotel staff spoke English, but not all. We had issues when trying to check out. We had previously agreed upon a price for our stay, but the person who was working the front desk when we were ready to check out was trying to charge a different price. At first he was trying to charge us for only one night which we knew was wrong and we explained and then he wanted to charge us more than we had previously agreed upon when we checked in. He didn't speak English and we don't speak Spanish. It was stressful and frustrating becuase we had a very early flight back to Lima. We talked with others while we were in Cusco and it seemed that others got cheaper rates for the rooms in this hotel compared to what we got and there were other places in town that were also cheaper.
