Overlooking the city of Cusco is the statue of Cristo Blanco (White Christ) - not unlike Rio's Christ the Redeemer. It was built by a group of Christian Palestinians who had sought refuge in Cusco and was their parting gift to the city when they left – also a symbol of their gratitude. The site provides spectacular views over the city. Worth the trip for the view.
