“Five Reasons for Five Stars”
Reviewed January 28, 2014

Five Reasons to forget the rest and travel with Peru Trek 4 Good:
1. Yure Chavez, Owner and Guide, is professional, considerate, flexible and most of all a man of determined integrity.
2. Yure approaches both adventure travel and experiential/cultural trave with the utmost attention to detail in all arrangements (as is everything, itinerary, hotels, meals, equipement, local guides, etc.)
3. Yure Chavez was born and lives in Cusco; so what you spend stays in Peru and a portion goes to support the many projects for which Yure is a benefactor.
4. Yure speaks several languages including Quechua and English, and he is conversant and humorous in all of them.
5. The three weeks we spent travelling with Yure in 2006 following the rich and varied itinerary he crafted was for us the adventure of a lifetime.

“Peru 29 Nov to 15 Dec 2013”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

We visited Peru from 29 Nov 13 to 15 Dec 13.

It was an exceptional holiday, started with surviving a total trip time of almost 33 hours from Singapore to Lima, and finished with a 30 hours back to Singapore.

This was probably an once-in-a-lifetime trip as its really expensive and really far for us to get to this beautiful country at the other side of the world. Amongst the places we visited were : Nazca (Nazca Lines), Paracas (Ballestas Islands, Paracas Reserve), Puno (Titicaca Lake, Taquile island), Andahuaylillas chapel, temple of Wiracocha, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), the Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, Moray, Maras and the Inca salt mines, Sacred Valley: Pisac Market, Ruins and Ollantaytambo, Machupicchu + Huaynapicchu (Yes… we climbed Huayna Picchu, although in an embarrasingly long time and with myraids of stops to catch our breath), and Puerto Maldonado (Sandoval Lake Lodge).

We had a great and unforgetable time, largely thanks to the well co-ordinated and organized tours put together by Peru Trek 4 GOOD. It began with very prompt replies for email quiries and there was no hiccup, everything (pick up, hotel arrangements, coaches etc) went well and smooth. We got the reliability we really needed for this trip.

We also met a few wonderful tour guides who were very enthusiastic about their work, and some lovely people – the helpful policemen in Cusco who accompanied us to take a cab to the tourist police (I lost my camera L), the lovely local girls who told us the car that stopped for us was a taxi we can take :P, the lady in the restaurant at Paracas Reserve who laughed so hard when we had to use a Iphone translator to tell her in Spanish that we need to pack the food…. and our tour guide Paolo at the lovely Sandoval Lake Lodge who is so passionate about conservation of the natural environment. All the little things have made this trip a very memorable one for us.

We wish we can visit Peru again, one day.

“A Perfect Peruvian Trip with Peru Trek 4 Good”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

If you are looking for a company to arrange a Peru trip for you, then your quest is over, as I can recommend the perfect tour operator: Yure Chavez, owner of Peru Trek 4 Good. Yure arranged for a 10 day customized trip for my group of five to Cusco/Sacred Valley/Lima. I have traveled all over the world and honestly can say that Yure is one of the best tour operators that I have ever encountered. Reasons: 1) Honesty/Professionalism/Integrity. Yure’s character displays each of these attributes. He is 100% trustworthy. We wired our payment to Yure’s bank account. Yure provided a detailed accounting; there were no issues. One member of our party arrived in Cusco four hours ahead of the rest of us. Yure picked her up from the airport and took her to his house to rest before the two of them returned to the airport to pick us up. The young lady felt completely safe, and the situation never was awkward. We all were very appreciative to Yure for his kindness in this regard. 2) Price. Yure’s pricing not only beat the competitors from whom I received quotes, but also, we stayed in better hotels. Yure is a local Cusco operator who works out of his home; therefore, his overhead is low. There are no hidden or “surprise” fees. 3) Guides. A guide can make or break a trip. Yure arranged for two fantastic guides for us; both spoke excellent English, and were extremely knowledgeable on Incan history and archeology. Daniel, our guide for four days in Cusco/Sacred Valley, was phenomenal! Daniel was so much fun and pleasant to be with that we all hated to say “goodbye.” Our guide for one day in Lima, Carolos, is passionate about his work! 4) Drivers/Transportation. William, our driver for four days in Cusco/Sacred Valley was wonderful! His driving skills are superb; we felt very safe. William did not limit his duties to driving; he watched out for us personally and made sure that our belongings were safe. William is kind and a pleasure to be with. In addition to William, Yure arranged for other various transports, e.g. to and from train station and other activities. Every driver arrived for us ahead of the scheduled time. We never had to wait on a driver and always felt completely safe. 5) Hotels. Our hotels were fabulous! The grounds were beautiful and the service was outstanding! 6) Activities. We opted for an adventure trip, e.g. hiked short Inca trail and Huayna Picchu, horseback riding in the Andes, whitewater rafting, etc. All operators were great; each had well run companies, operated with safety in mind, and provided a wonderful lifetime experience that we never will forget. 7) Philanthropy. Yure actively supports various orphanages and schools in his community by arranging for donations of clothing, school supplies, toys, etc. At our request, Yure took us to a kindergarten. It was a humbling and moving experience; definitely a trip highlight! In closing, Yure monitored our trip every step of the way by maintaining constant contact with our drivers and tour operators. Consequently, every aspect of the trip was absolutely perfect!! We all give Yure the highest recommendation!!
