Wanted to have a light snack early evening so on seeing a spare table on the balcony overlooking the plaza made our way up to the second floor.

Had tea drinks and sandwiches and enjoyed people watching from little balcony alcove.

Good service, nice simple food and very reasonable prices even though we would have happily paid more for the view.

Will be back tomorrow, hard to beat.

Hidden away from the plaza downstairs but gives great views from the balcony, wonderful for people watching. A little pricier because of the location but a very sweet place with a nice selection of coffees and cakes. Used to be across the plaza and an institution in Cuzco, its well known as a meeting place with the locals and theres always a busy stream of people coming to meet friends there. Highly recommended.

Ok, this place is right on the plaza de las armas, so it's not the cheapest, but it serves great coffee, lovely juices and delicious sandwishes (i had the triple, yum!). The staff was very helpful, the view is great for people watching, and you can use the WiFi (good signal). Only downside would be that you have to get the key from the waitress to use the toilet.

If you want to find a place where you can whining down your day? This is the place. Overlooking upstairs second floor a believe overlooking the Plaza right straight across the main Cathedral. The view at night is pleasing with light and sounds, people active walking etc. then yet quite and resting. They serve great desserts and very tasty coffee too!!

This cafe was recommended to us by someone we met in Arequipa. She works in Cusco and always goes here - we can see why.
Its position is perfect overlooking the Plaza de Armas on the second floor directly opposite the cathedral. The views from its 3 balconies are stunning. The coffee is pretty damn good but I can really recommend the hot chocolate and the apple pie. The decor is relaxed and comfortable.
This is far better than Starbucks which also overlooks the main square but has far more character.
Tip: finding the entrance is not easy. Count 13 arches and walk through the narrow alleyway to the courtyard behind, up the stairs. This cafe has a white facade with blue balconies.
