Description: Seledonia's Mesa is the place to be in Cusco if you want a familiar athmosphere and truly excellent local food! Lunch at Selia's (as friends call her) is a sunny and joyful experience in her warm, covered patio. And dining is like being home at a Cusco family, enjoying some of Cusco's finest dishes in a cozy athmosphere. Cooking classes are part of the experience, too: so you can take Seledonia's wonderful cuisine back home!

“Best meal I've had in Cusco!”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

This intimate place exceeded my expectations by far. And an excellent value. Earlier this week I ate at a place three times the price that couldn't hold a candle to the perfection of Seledonia's aji de gallina.

This place has tons of heart with her family pictures and home style flavors sealing the deal.

It's a must go!

“Home away from Home”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

Selia really makes a home away from home for many travellers. The atmosphere in her place is cosey and familiar, especially when the kids are around. And most imporant of all, the food is delicious! She makes a different dish every day and it never get´s boring to have lunch in her place. The plates on the Menu are very good too, and worth trying each of them.

“Great food, hidden gem in Cusco”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

We stumbled upon Seledonia's Mesa when wandering around through Cusco. The restaurant is inside Seledonia's home, it's a welcoming experience that was a nice change of pace from the tourist scene. We tried a number of items on the al a carte menu, including the alpaca cheesesteak, which was awesome. Apparently here signature dish is the spicy alpaca but we weren't feeling too adventurous (hence 4 of us split the sandwich). In hindsight, we all should have ordered it because all the other food was amazing. She also offers a lunch special for S/ 8 that gives a soup, drink and vegetarian meal (rice, lentils and veggie). If you can find this place, I definitely recommend it but get there quick, seats are limited!

“Sociable Peruvian home cooking”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

Just down the road from Amaru 2 we originally went in for the menu del dia (less than 10 soles) that included a great bowl of Caldo de pollo (chicken soup) and Chicha Morada (a lovely drink made from purple corn) Don't expect a proper restaurant, rather a small family run eatery. There are only two long tables, so you get to sit and chat with locals or other travelers, making it far more sociable.
We returned twice again for dinner to sample some other dishes and were not disappointed. I really liked the Alpaca Picante. Prices are very reasonable too. Great hospitality and excellent food!

“Great cuts of beef, special soup”
Reviewed June 10, 2014 via mobile

Her lomo saltado begins with top cuts of beef, skirt steak, which are not overcooked. The flavors and portions are solid. The sopa criolla was also very balanced - not too thin, rich, or salty. The soup also demonstrated an impressive use of cardamom, which is not an easy spice to balance or blend.
