“Artisan Market - not sure they're artisans but great selection and prices”

The Artisan Market on Ave del Sol is huge. You can spend hours there looking at the offerings. We were worried about getting gifts for the family and friends and this place had it all. Bargaining is the normal and we got about 20% average off the prices. Maybe you can do better.

This is a large market space, under cover with lots of little stalls. We were able to pick up souvenirs at good prices, doing a little bargaining. My husband had been looking for a musical quality zamponi (pan pipe type instrument) and found a couple stalls here selling them. My only disappointment was nothing really made of baby alpaca (was hoping to find some gloves) but I guess it's expensive enough that only the higher end standalone stores carry it.

You can find a lot of things from jewerly, paintings, shoes, sweaters, etc. The prices are very competitive in comparison other sites like Pisac, Chincheros, and Cusco City.
If you have to buy a lot of souvenirs, THIS IS THE RIGHT PLACE.

Centro Artesanal Cusco, at the end of Avenida El Sol, is a covered shopping experience! Wonderful selection of Peruvian textiles, ceramics and much more. We found the relaxed atmosphere enjoyable and spend quite a bit of time exploring the different booths. The large painted waterfall fountain across the street was also worth seeing.

An absolutely delightful unhurried, hassle free Artisan market that is fully under cover. Has well-spaced, well lit open stalls to allow for extensive browsing. A luxury not found in many other similar style markets nearby. There are even places where one can simply sit down and relax between browsing’s and still admire the handicrafts surrounding yourself. Bargaining is permitted here, but the prices are so reasonable, there is little point in doing so.
