What a wonderful find!
We came in based on a hawker showing us the menu by the Plaza del Armas. The menu looked intriguing and the prices reasonable, eso compared with similar restaurants nearby.
The restaurant is on the second floor with a view of the Plaza and the glowing Jesus on the mountainside. Decor is clean and modern. Service is very attentive. The menu has a large number of what appears to be modern Peruvian food.
Happy hour from 6:30-9:30pm has wonderful specials (2 for 1) with a large variety of mixed drinks, esp pisco sour variations. I did not have any but my friends did. They raved on the taste and quality.
The food is absolutely fabulous. Lots of wonderful flavors. We tried the duck (a specialty) with risotto, alpaca skewers, trout, cerviche, and chicken specialty. All were extremely flavorful. Our waiter was excellent. The dessert (a banana concoction) was outstanding (and I don't even like bananas). Prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is actually a bargain when comparing it to restaurant with similar pricing (but less flavorful food and good service).
Highly recommend this restaurant. It is a little off the beaten path but worth the effort to find.
