We stayed at the wild rover hostel for partying and then returned after trekking to the milhouse and found this place to be spacious and quiet , staff were always eager to help with bookings and other friendly advice . We stayed with 5 other aussies and it was so comforting and easy going such a good place to chill out.

Food is pretty average in the bar and like most hostels lazy service, Saturday nights seem to have a good party ambience after 10pm

Overall cheap and chill definetley would stay recommened to friends as a whole :)

Wonderful hostel. I got one night included as part of a trek package. I liked it so much I booked it again for when I´m back from my trek.

I stayed in a 4 bed dorm at first and a 12 bed dorm after. Both were clean and comfy.

Location is really convenient too. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth the money.

They have a cool bar and plans many events as well.

Its a bit strange compared to the other Hostels I have stayed. sorta a strange vibe - never figured it out.

It would seem this hostel cant decide if its a party hostel or a family or maybe better couples or group hostel.

The bar area is sort of split into a bunch of small tables and people seemed to be in clicks... and then a bench seating area, but there is not anyplace in the bar with comfortable or inviting couches or chairs. I stayed four nights so, but usually ate and drank at wild rovers because Millhouse scene pretty dead (Im talking like 5 people at the bar on a typical night at 9-10 pm- really strange) One night they had a party and the bar staff did a great job, but something just lacking there- maybe sort of a hit and miss thing, or maybe i had bad Karma there. I found all the staff to be friendly and very nice and helpful. the beds were great, and had a nice spot for charging phone and great lockers, basically pretty clean- the kitchen seemed to be closed every time i wanted to eat- again maybe a karma thing. the free eggs, the two times i had took like 20 minutes and then sorta cold. 3 stars might be a bit generous.

Probably just not a good solo traveler hostel.

Room Tip: I stayed in a four bed dorm with a private bath.

I just returned from traveling through South America. Comparing the Milhouse to any of the others I stayed in would insult the other hostels. At check in, the impression we got was that they could care less we stayed there. The room was adequate, but not clean. The shower did not work properly. The 2nd room we were moved to, did have a working shower but smelled of vomit and smoke. We could not get out of this place fast enough. For the price this hostel charges, the place should be immaculate.
The only reason this got 2 stars, was its in a good location for walking.

Room Tip: Avoid all the rooms.

I stayed together with my girlfriend for nearly one week in a dormitory for four persons. The hostal is really close to the main plaza de armas and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. just one step outside the entrance theres a possibility to get your clothes washed (laundry). The people working in the hostal are really nice and helpful, there s a bar and good, cheap food (tastz breakfast buffet), table tennis and the hostal cooperates with a travelagency (bamba experience) which is integrated in the hostal. Anyway I would recommend that you compare prices and check in the internet as well when you plan a trip, especially to machu piccu I would advise you to do the tour by bus and by your own, you ll find information about that in the internet and you ll safe a lot of money - the trips with agencies and with the trains are awfully expensive. Moreover the rooms in the hostal are really clean, sometimes its a bit loud at night, especially when you sleep close to the bar - so just go partying and you ll be fine. The mattresses are awesome, but a bit smallsized. I can really recommend this hostal for staying a couple of days in the beautiful Cusco!

We stayed here two nights but not consecutively. The first night we had a private room for two of us, which was lovely, albeit basic and bathroom was a bit damp but fine for it's purpose. There are no power points however in the room which was really surprising!

The second night we stayed, we were in a shared dorm which was much better in terms of size, bed and we had power plugs which was great! Bathroom was much better too. The rooms could have been cleaner however.

Location wise, great for Cusco and easy to navigate around. Staff were helpful too and plenty of information available. It wasn't a party hostel when we were visiting so it was busy but not noisy which was good.

Jess and David were the best not only bartenders but the best people we've ever met in our lives. Good friends, good times, good drinks. David makes a mean cocktail and Jess is a beautiful soul, inside and out. We are all still hard, and it's been three weeks. Love you guys. We will be back everytime we are in Cusco!
